I Hate Dawntrail
This has been one the most frustrating playing experiences I've ever had with this game. I love Pictomancer and even though the story has no emotional weight, it's fun... but everything else has been a real let down.

Viper feels like it maxed out at lvl 50 and never get's anything that exciting. When you're in lvl 60 or lower dungeons it feels like your running that srasha deep dungeon over and over again from the beginning of the game cause they only have a couple of attacks. It's just boring.

All the new dungeons have insane mechanics that you can't learn from playing, only from failure, and it makes running the new dungeons incredibly frustrating. Some of the new bosses either have no start up times on attacks that instantly kill you or they have so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ going on on screen that you can't even see your party anymore(Antivirus X). When I finish a dungeon my first thought is "I never want to run that again" which ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Cause running dungeons used to be so much fun.

And if they meant to make the game more difficult they gotta figure out a solution for the latency/lag, You just don't have enough time to react anymore and it makes the game feel bad to play. And running around with objective markers and aetherite orbs just not appearing when they're supposed to is another level of frustration that makes me want to quit the game altogether.

I don't hate dawntrail but I fear we are at this point where new dungeons will just introduce more more mechanics happening in a short order and less time to react.
I am Ok with it happening in hard content because i can just ignore it but story dungeons for the MSQ?

Can't say I've had a similar experience with the dungeons but the MSQ let me down by a long shot. It's pretty bad.

Dungeons haven't been that bad, Its always fine to die to new ♥♥♥♥. I have been wondering alot how plenty tanks and healers have gotten to 100 while playing them tho.

Expansions to the level feel like they're never going to feel good. Either the new abilities are really exciting, which makes it feel bad for levelling roulette to throw you back to old levels, because now your rotation is incomplete.

But the exact opposite is Dawntrail, where all the new stuff is just so underwhelming. WAR gives an extra two attacks, and a shinier top tier defensive cooldown.

I don't quite mind trial and error in a game like this? Not every dungeon needs to be smooth sailing right from the first run, but admittedly I like a bit of challenge.

And it's not like Dawntrail is the only expansion to do this? We have plenty reoccurring mechanics that have way less properly explained than most of the mechanics in DT dungeons.

I found the mechanics fairly easy to learn in a trust and I liked the fact that the NPCs do not give it away. It's the pressure of first time with a group of real people where i fall apart :D

Skill issue. I never had a problem in a dungeon

this would go a long way to helping some issues i think. maybe have sections available for each mechanic so people can practice what they need to as well.

The new dungeon mechanics are fairly straight forward to sight read if you've paid attention to what the game has shown you previously. I can't think of a single mechanic in a dungeon that doesn't have an obvious solution.

It was actually kind of funny, I finished all of them and said they were too boring. They were all the same mechanics (for the most part) or a tiny variation of what we have already been used to, its just faster and need to adjust quicker but I felt bored because there was nothing new. Meanwhile my girlfriend loved them, because they were clearly telegraphed and nothing really stood out as difficult or confusing.

I think.. we might be at a point where they are running out of ideas, mechanically, because if this showed me anything, it was that they are playing it too safe. I think they should have had new mechanics, completely shaken up the dungeon/trial bosses. Everything looks pretty, but that doesnt have a lot going for it in terms of ingenuity. Idk, the game feels stale, and we are only a month post launch.
