Bards/ archers do just fine.
You have to be extremely bad to need to use songs. (TP/MP)
Admiteddly, it's good if you got a BLM or SMN to foe req and big pull.
But otherwise it's better off being a SMN/BLM.
See this is the kind of post I thought I might find. I realzie anyone can be any class and you can make it work, but we want to be effective, not just get by. You're saying that they really don't have much place in 4mans?
You want to min-max for things that don't need it.
And you're trying to tell me how to enjoy my games without needing to. Your tone is hostile and patronizing. And for the record I was initially responding to Koishi's comment and not yours, I should have made that more clear.
Oh man, I'm late. Sorry.
Well, they're "fine" for dungeons. But they really shine as a class in Savage. (end game raids) because that is where their support songs ACTUALLY help.
At the end of the day, if you want a nice fast dungeon run it all depends on the people's skill.
You could have the perfect party setup, but if nobody knows what they're doing you're gonna have a bad time.
