Final Fantasy XIV: Resub error?
So today I logged into my Mogstation account to add a one time payment via the Steam payment option. Steam sent me a confirmation email that everything went well and that it was added to Final Fantasy XIV... However... While steam was redirecting me back to Mogstation, the Mogstation site errored. No error code, bar that it said it encountered an error or that there could be site maintenance.

Now, the sub price was pulled off my bank account, so it has been paid for - however, my account is still inactive and no days have been added. Has anyone else had this issue? Or any suggestions?

Steam won't allow a refund for this type of payment, sadly. And SE Europe won't be open for quite a few more hours. (10 to be exact) so I was looking to gather some info.

Am I screwed or do you think SE can do something about this?

Send SE a ticket about it, provide proof of payment. It should be fixed.
It depends were the issue lies. Also (if you haven't already) contact Steam support with your confirmation email and ask them to take a look at what's happened.

Yeah I've sent them a ticket, I think I'm just kinda stressing, and i was hoping for someone who's had a similar issue. I addressed the issue, so that if I can contact them tomorrow / they contact me, I can provide the steam email that the purchase was made and confirmed. I never got a confirmation email from SE though, so that money has to have gone somewhere...

No, my issue has not yet been resolved. I've contacted Square Enix customer support and they said they would look into it, asking for the Steam confirmation email, steam username, etc. Due to it being the holidays it's taken longer than expected. They advised me to also contact Steam support, so I suggest you do the same.

Steam specifically stated there were no refunds available for in-game purchases, but I contacted them and they seem to be looking into this.

Sorry to hear that it happened to you as well. =/ It sucks. When did yours pop up? Mine mostly likely was caused due to the Mogstation site maintenance.
Myabe you put your money in steam wallet, but didn't actually spent it on subscription.

Steam mentioned something about if SE really can't help be they will refund this time, however then you risk having your SE account locked for fraud. Watch them not be able to find your payment, but they do find Steam refunding fraud... Sigh. All I have to say is that Steam's customer support has been amazing and doing a better job at fixing something than SE is with their own product atm. It shouldn't take this long to sort out, holidays or not.

But let me know how it goes for you. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully they arent complete asshats when it comes to that because steam hasnt had any issues its been SE's fault so locking you for fraud isnt an option since it isnt fraud and while i don't know the steps needed to actually prove that to them, steam alone should be able to show them it was their fault and the consumer is in no way responsible for an issue on SE's end

If you have contacted SE and sent them a ticket they will most likely ask you to provide the Steam confirmation email via attachment and email it to an email address they will enclose in their email. From there on... Well, I couldn't tell you - I'm waiting.

I'll keep you posted as well. Steam only confirmed if SE really can't assist me that they can refund it to me instead but warned me the account lock due to fraud may happen.

Imagine that... This issue not fixed, and then having to deal with an account lock issue, omg.
