What? No. You want to incentivize more people to play tank/healer, not flood the queue with even more DPS.
What does effect me are incompetent tanks who don't know anything but using Rampart and their DR button.
I'm not sure why people complain still to this day about DPS queues as if this is some problem unique to this game and hasn't been an 'issue' for decades across most MMOs. It's not like you have to sit there and anxiously count down the seconds. There is a myriad of other things you can do, both in-game and out, while you wait.
Tanks and healers don't need more incentive than they already have. A hefty chunk of extra EXP or materia related items is good enough.
If tank does all (Extra) 3 roulettes they should get Poetics Quadrupled, Tanking is significantly harder than DPS.
Healer should get double everything tank gets, DPS just smash keyboard while Healer has to keep entire party alive + revive + often callout.
We are not the same, DPS shouldn't get equality.
Saying this as an EX tank main, Now MNK main i just turn my brain off 90% of the time for DPS it's a joke aside from "Don't stand in death mechanic"
Tanking is not significantly harder than DPS. Not by a long shot.
This game is notorious for having the easiest tanking game play and mechanics of any other modern day MMO. The hardest mechanics you'll ever have to worry about as a tank is possibly boss positioning and tank swapping. Everything else is natural, standard affair. Smack all the enemies and cycle your defensive CDs properly. A monkey could do it.
Healer is much the same. The majority of the time you are DPSing. Depending on the content, you slap some kind of mititagion and/or HoT on the tank(s) and react and heal to unavoidable AOE damage accordingly. Damage in this game is very calculated and predictable. The only time a healer really has to go out of their way is when a player fails a mechanic.
it's the responsibility issue that keeps people away from it, which is unrelated to skill or mechanics
I think lotta "Fake" tank players in this chatroom that just got class to 90 / 100 and then never touched it again cause they know it's too difficult for them.
fear of responsibility is a real thing even if you don't feel it
that's it, that's the whole reason. tanking is SUPER easy. WAR is the easiest class in the game. PAL is braindead snoozefest.
