Using 300K gil on Free trial
Is there anything in specific that i should be using gil in ARR and HW?, the only good use i got was buying some orchestral rolls, repairing gear, teles and upgrading gear once i got into Ishgard. I know about the materials and stuff for upgrading crafter classes and stuff.

Anything else like mounts, minions or whatever? :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

There isn't much you need gil to buy. 99% of the stuff you'd use gil for is the market board, and you don't have access to that on the free trial anyway. The best gear you can get access to are drops from dungeons or raids, or bought with Tomestones.

All sorts of reason.

Repairing gil, buying materials, paying for materia melding, food buffs, market board and if you are into it, apartments/housing which can be used for growing things (which you can use or sell), chocobo stables, house decorations etc etc.

The game gives you plenty of reasons to have and use gil. Other bigger items like mounts I believe are tied behind events, which require special items for trade in. I have seen minions for purchase via gil, but no "really cool rare" minions.

Housing and market board aren't available to free trial players. That cuts their need for gil down significantly. So really it's just there for repairing and melding for those players.

Oh, that sucks. Well, they could still use it to buy the furniture, food stuffs, market board etc etc, rgiht? If not, trial seems painfully limited.

Free trial is limited on purpose. It is meant to show the game to potential subscribers and try to get them to buy in. Gil for them is pretty much just for melding, travel, repairs and vendors.
There's also a certain ARR Relic Weapon quest that requires 4 items that cost 100K each, but someone would need to be really determined to do that on a trial.
