FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

armorer vs blacksmith vs goldsmith
i'm thinking about adding one of these as my last 'main' crafting job (which just means i'll be makin sure I have crafted everything in my crafting log for that job at all times) and I simply can't decide.

I mean is dedicating yourself to crafting armor really all that good? or is crafting weapons or heck jewelry better for ya? I tried googling but nothing really answered my question since they were referring to leveling an not pickin a main craftin job in those posts; which isn't the same as what i'm askin here.

so which one outta the three should I pick?

All of them. With the exception of Culinarian and maybe Alchemist (for the most part), all crafting classes need stuff that is made by the others, in order to craft their recipes

If you're serious about crafting, you'll naturally level them all anyway since you'll have left over scrips to gear up crafts you don't necessarily need.

Also when it comes to playing the market, timing is everything, culinarian makes millions when it comes to new raid releases, armourer and blacksmith, leatherworker and weaver make millions off gatherers trying to gear up their characters to get the necessary GP to meet timed nodes etc, it's simple yet everyone seems to treat it like rocket science or they can't actually be bothered and just want quick cash.

And once you're sat comfortably at max level, you can keep your retainers full of glamour items that sell well like summer indigo, dalmascan and cash in every couple days with little to no effort, in fact it's common to log into 60 million in your retainers after a week.

the answer to your question is you'll need to level all of them Armorsmith requires a ton of leather and the occaisonal weaving items, Blacksmith requires lots of Carpentry items.

Oh and GSM is not the only jewelry/accessory making class some of them are carp, ltw as well.

Really it’s just a matter of what you think would be the most fun to craft.
so basically the most profitable angle is being a Armorer while Blacksmithin is most desirable (for those boss weapons) and Goldsmithin is somewhere inbetween.

I think I know which one to focus on based on your feedback here, which I appreciate since it seems you're the only one that understood what I was askin. I'll still be reading the responses here since there might be another that provides as good of a feedback as you did.
