You'll feel better off in the long run. Worked wonders for me.
And there it is. I think half the reason some people are hating on DT is because Wuk's VA is trans.
Which is hilarious concidering how overwhelmingly inclusive the entire game is, both story-wise and community-wise. It also makes it trivially easy to see who is a tourist.
sigh
speak to wuk lamat
speak to wuk lamat
speak to wuk lamat (yet again)
Not exactly the most riveting quest design.
That's complete BS and you know it. The overwhelming majority have no clue that the VA is trans, and simply think the character is crap.
Woke/transphobe are both labels to avoid actual discourse about the not great writing and storytelling pre-96 MSQ.
Are they going to repeat this in the post-MSQ or even the next expansion? Have another "new fantastic and epic NPC" come in and gorge themselves on the scenery or just have the same character do so yet again? For 90% of the expansions plot?
I think I'll pass, WOL, the PLAYER is the main character of this game, no one else, no matter how much the narcissitic buffoon who wrote the story of Dawntrail tries to make it otherwise.
Interesting how specific design choices, naming choices and casting seems less like a series of coincidences instead comes off as an intentional attempt to create a human shield to ward of critique for terrible writing, that's pretty damn evil.
It's horrifying to see that they're actually getting away with it too, given how the discourse around this is turning, it's disgusting and not something I'd ever see from this game, I feel a bit betrayed to be honest.
Using another human beings IRL struggles to hide behind to avoid having your poor writing scrutinized and have supposed "good people" swallow it hook line and sinker, for shame.
They don't bother hiding who they are, and they get treated as such
