I've enjoyed the battle content quite a lot as a healer. More reasons to use healing buttons and the fights are interesting outside of a few kind of nonsense fights. Story was not my favorite. Pretty interested to see the raids and extreme/savage.

I think Gabe put it best in saying that gamers are egotistical in giving them the direct cause and effect response to something they do.

This expansion is very much your character being relegated as a side character to the story unfolding. Not a lot of people like that.

Having a mixed review score for a FFXIV expansion is a death sentence when the past few expansions have hit out of the park in terms of story writing. You squeenix sycophants are absolutely embarrassing

Dawntrail dungeons and trials so far: Fun times
Dawntrail MSQ: Ishikawa's juniors aren't cut out for large scale long-form writing and lack basic understanding of pacing and characterization, which shows especially in the later half
Graphics update: Hit or miss depending on your character model and preferred race, environment pretty, some indoor cutscenes with high graphic settings have very weird lighting
Music: Typical Soken quality with one major miss in the mix

Coooooooooope. Early access is just that, Early access. The story nor the gameplay is gonna change anytime soon when the official release comes around (Which is like tomorrow lol) . And FYI: I am actually playing the expansion and have reached solution 9. The story blows and Wuk Lamat is a f tier character.

None of you have been playing 10 hours a day to have Dawntrail finished by now, though; so your reviews don't count for anything. At least wait long enough that you could believably pretend you actually played the expansion. ;)
