I pray to jesus this true and not fabricated, get this garbage out of the way retcon having nuked Golbez 4 minions and make a void expansion for the love of christ.
Or, Give us access to the other reflections . . I specifically want to see the one Spectral Necromancer is from.
This MSQ is the pits and the "writers" that poured out this drivel should feel bad for penning it, let alone shoving into a game. And shoehorning this bloody awful fanfic into FF14 is unforgivable.
Honestly they could do that, From point after you defeat Vauthry. "The Warrior of light in their coma fueled by the lights embrace (Poison) fever dreamed the conclusion to everything. It's been (X) Years as time passed sadly his companions aether ran dry and they faded away never to be seen again, The Gate to the first long gone our brave warrior must explore an unfamiliar world and attempt to return to his reflection"
"Enter a journey spanning Novrandt in a more reclaimed state, Explore remnants of the old world, journey onto other reflections and make new allies while making your way back home"
Would give them an excuse to make an actual 13th reflection based expansion, Give us access to Necromancer job after we venture into Spectral Necromancers Reflection & actually give us a chance to fight Garlemald like they teased instead of disgustingly poor conclusion to 10+ yr story.
Yeah, I was so happy to see that short adventure with Erenville... But then ♥♥♥♥ happens and we back to her again...
If only they focused on OUR adventure across Tural and not assign us to backstage babysitter. The story would be fine. Make us travel, discover the cultures and somewhere in the middle of third zone meet Lamat and decide to help her after hearing from locals in previous zones how other participants acted...
Honestly, in the first part she wasn't even necessary. We could take her out completely, do our own adventure across the south (literally spam us with dungeons/trials for the sake of adventure) and then go north. The thingy appears and we go back to the capital to help out and thats where we meet her for the first time and get "bonding" experience.
Setting is fine, writing is terrible, while there are people hating on the expansion either because of the story or Wuk Lamat the majority hate the writing itself and its disingenuous to disregard them and their opinions.
Pokemon? I'm not sure how far into the story you are but at lvl 96 you get to see beyblades. It looks so ridiculous I can't even begin to imagine who wrote / designed that and thought "yea, that looks good / sounds good"
I'm right after Scions"unofficially " assembled. So yeah the beginning of lvl 96 quests.
Which, reading between the lines, means he thought the story was crap.
If he thought the story was good, he would be heaping praise. Instead, he's offering the player base an out.
I guess he spent too much of his time saving FF16. And the B Team handling FF14 dropped the ball.
