If the director keeps running in circles without any vision it might be time to replace them. This is the worst rated expansion of all time for a good reason. People were hoping for something new after the Zodiak Saga ended, but nope. Same picture, just painted in different colors, as always. It was fine for the past Saga but I don't get why they didn't dare to try something new this time. Yoshi was the savior of FF14, but is now becoming its worst night mare.

I haven't enjoyed the main gameplay of FFXIV in many years, but at least I looked forward for the story and a bit of side content like crafting.

But since Endwalker it was clear that the writers apparently were being paid by word count or something. It felt like half of the MSQ should have been optional side quests, a lot of silly padding that completely ruined the pacing of that climax. Felt like we were back in the 2.0 ARR days.

And it seems that this is the way forward. Very formulaic questlines, all with the same filler padding in-between any interesting bits.

They probably didn't give him the option to scrap what was already made, Which is why the later half of the expansion doesn't seem to be even remotely as bad as first half of expansion.

I mean, The Voice actor for Lamat still needs to be replaced but the character itself is starting to grow on me the further i go into expan. I still don't like the character by any means but it's not as cringe as it was when they just hoistered her onto you during post Endwalker.


I feel like it's 100% the team that gave us "Fall Guys Crossover" "Manderville Weapons" "Lalafell Highchair" And more that made the first half of expansion so unbearable and are the same ones that should be laid off, If you need constant supervision to stop you from doing this crud you don't deserve a job.

You also need to convince all the senior corporate executives at SE and their CEO that Yoshida is bad for the game. Which is going to be pretty damn hard since he's responsible for making FFXIV their most profitable game of all time.

When someone wants to complain about a game or their producer, they give absolutely zero bits to counter it. How about if you folks want to fuss about the game you give not only reasons why you think it is bad and then back them up with suggestions to improve said issues. It is EASY to complain about something, it is harder to proffer actual constructive points to improve a situation.

SO... it is too hard to back up ones statements, in this forum thread, because we want to rely on all the other people accounts that may or may not be reputable 'reasons', how totes typical to take the easy way out than to confront the issue. Typical male psychology. Let everyone else speak for me, since words were already spoken. However, lets not use my words because they may be tainted with guild or falsehoods. Amazing.
