Is gardening still a viable gil making method?

I used to garden a lot couple of expansions ago, mostly onions and jute to make gil. But I'm not sure what is the state of gardening in FF14 now? Is it still good for passive gil making? Like, what's the most expensive and in demand things that you can grow now, aside from onions?

Onions are still going for a good price i would do onions before anything else right now with the new player rise thanks to xbox and beginning of next expansion it goes for 164k here on ragnarok

Thav onions are going for an avg of about 107k gil each currently. So, I'd say they're worth it still and people still need them frequently.
