If you have the option to skip cutscenes if there are no new players in your group then people are going to start vote kicking new players, or leaving instance if the group has new players.
I think a lot of you have the wrong idea here. The MSQ roulette isn't for you; the point isn't so you'll have a "fun" way to level up. It exists so new players can run this group content and experience the story. The EXP and poetics are Square Enix PAYING you to sit through the cutscenes again for the sake of new players. "Why can't I skip the cutscenes" is a tone deaf question.
When they made the cutscenes unskippable, they upped the rewards for MSQ to make up for the extra time you're in there.
Yeah. I'd honestly be okay with that.
Be nice to not see Crystal Tower raids as much. Granted we don't get them as much now that you are forced to unlock your respective level's alliance raids, but by virtue of being required for progression, they still show up more often than the others and nothing will ever change that unless they are removed from the roulette.
Which enters the problem that older players are being dragged into it
It is a choice or make it skippable or make it only for new players
I think it is you who has it backwards. The MSQ roulette is designed exactly for those players. The new players don't need the roulette, they are queueing for the instance itself, not running the roulette. The roulette is designed to incentivize those who have already completed the content, to run it again.
The roulette is already active enough to allow new players to see the content, and thus is serving it's ONLY purpose. Veteran players are already perfectly happy to sit through the cutscenes again for the present rewards, so further incentivizing you is unnecessary because this roulette isn't for you.
No ones being dragged into anything; if you don't think it's worth your time then don't do it. There will be enough players to fill the queue without you; myself being one of them.
The Npcs can literally win that fight by themselves well except the final boss with the lb that is a wipe and you literally need to press 3 buttons and walk
Except this gives more tomes than any other roulette and exp all they way to lvl 90 which you really need to lvl up you know all the combat classes.
While tomes are you know the most important thing to catch up content gear and even. And if we are talking about not being dragged sure you are not even dragged to play just let your subscription to expire.
Well good for you. I mean same could be said on any content of the game which doesnt stop MSQ from being crap. And if you want Tomes and xp you ARE forced to play it. Or lose half of your daily tome gain.
Again, MSQ content you already did 10 years ago isn't there for you. You're simply being paid to keep it active for new players; so take your EXP/Tomes, do your job and quit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Or quit doing the MSQ roulettes and do something else.
PVP exists and gives out good EXP, for example.
Were until SB then the levelling gets slower and i dont need so much so i just ignore now
Yet normal DG roulettes can drop on a lvl 16 dg and i have no problem with it because i am not watching the same unskippable cutscene for the 300 time
And i am not doing it anymore and i started this year. Again the bots exist to help them they can clear it you can even afk it.
PVP is mostly to show how skills should actually work.
If yes - no skip, fair is fair.
If no - allow skipping. Because when out of 4 party members not one is even a sprout, what's the argument?
