But if you already finished Stormblood and went through all of the extra optional content then it might make sense to buy Endwalker but only when its on sale.
I just find it hard to justify paying like 40 euros for EW only to do it again in 3 months with DT
As someone that preordered Endwalker and got burnt out before it released.... You will want to start as soon as you can if your goal is to play new content.
It will be hard to create a character once the release comes closer as servers will fill up fast. So you should create your character in the Data Center you want, at the very least, so you have the opportunity to play with players on servers for specific countries.
Additionally, if you don't plan on purchasing a story skip, you will have a lot of content to play through, which I have seen others have no issues with, however I struggled with it immensely even after skipping one whole expansions story while also working a full time job and having other responsibilities. (WARNING: If you purchase a story skip- you might as well purchase the skip for the level cap of the story you skipped unless you want to grind level ups I heard it isn't as bad as it once was.)
Most importantly, just do what you think will be most fun though :) It's never fun if you feel like you are forcing yourself when you don't want to, so the best thing to do is what allows you to enjoy the game the most.
I'm now just playing casually, I will get the next expansion at some point, but I will get there when I get there :)
Unless you're planning on nolifing it, you don't need to buy Endwalker now.
You're not likely to finish Stormblood before Dawntrail releases.
If you buy it now, you will also have to buy Dawntrail down the road. If you wait and buy Dawntrail when you get to the end of Stormblood, you'll only have to buy the one.
If you're going to nolife the game and play just this and go hard...maybe. Wait until you finish Stormblood. If the release date for Dawntrail is too long to wait /then/, then go ahead and buy it.
Either way don't buy it now. ^^
Unless you want to be a bunny boy.
