Thankfully, FFXIV will never do that. Parsers are harmless, and so is 99% of the addons in this game.
its like, 4 or 5 plugins that are known cheats. And its very clear if someone is using them or not, then there are a few botting tools, and literally the rest are QoL stuff that SQE should put in the game, but doesnt, because its SQE.
Besides, I doubt you have the game sense to fully understand this at 250 hours, but i can promise you, as someone who genuinely enjoys going into fights blind, and actually studies mechanics, its very.. very easy to tell if someone uses radar to preposition/move before a mechanic is even cast. Its not rocket science, but it is something you learn over time to watch. And.. in this community, word travels fast if youre exposed for cheating.
Besides, you really imposing a ban on people that just want to ERP and actually be naked? Can you even fathom how much money SQE makes per month off of those folks? Just 1 server, looking at 2000+ active people in a single zone doing ERP, thats between $26000-$30000 worth of subs at any given time.
And still not even remotely a problem.
Informing you of your misunderstandings...
You see what I did there? Almost anything can be used with ill intent. Even things built into the game like the party kick.
some say ACT with its sole function to track DPS is already cheating.
others dont.
in the dev team would go this on probably too and then you have a dilema because everyone has a different opinion XD. act was the easiest example x3. ofcourse thereare obsivious plugins which are definitly considered cheating tho.
Can't wait for them to implement the new 'countermeasures'.
the FF14 team is probably aware of this and the game would probably pretty much die as soon something like easy anti-cheat gets implemented.
