Favorite Side Content?

So, I absolutely counsel new players to *not* do side content; skip the regular quests, don't bother with the beast tribes until the end, don't do the weapon grinds -- bowl through MSQ as fast as possible or the momentum will wear off and you'll fall down.

That said, I know 100% there is side content that's fabulous and completely worth doing -- for example, the Ixal beast tribe is generally worth doing a few rounds of the quests for the humor alone.

Trying to figure out where the Good Stuff is so that you can do it and still keep up motivation. So.

What are folks' favorite off the beaten path content?
* Where does it start?
* Are there prerequistes?
* Why is it worth doing for you? (rewards, funny, lore, whatever)

Content lull is the best time to do this stuff; hopefully this will help a couple of people find ways to keep themselves occupied til DT.

Pvp or deep dungeons. Bozja could almost be a contender for the fights alone but im not a fan of everything else around bozja hence why it doesnt reach the list properly.

BLU and Bozja.

BLU gives easy access to mountains of poetics (good for new player gearing) and seals (good for some glam and aetheryte tickets). Also livens up Wondrous Tails a bit. Also, I dig the Whalaqee (and hope we get more lore on them in DT).

Bozja's fun in itself (FATEs and bonus alliance raids that actually have some bite to them), but also has some nice glam attached (judge armor, resistance gear and relics all look good, imo, though personal taste applies). Plus you get the novelty of being a tank SAM or healer DNC.

The BLU log, there is rewards for specific content done with BLU teams every weeks.

I suppose since Crystal Tower was the only exception as it has retroactively been made require to progress through ARR, the 24-mans are my favorite piece of side content. I'll often queue for Alliance Raid more than once during a day because I enjoy the chaos that often ensues in 24-man content.
