Not to hate on Squarenix I realize they've been dying for sometime now but that last video on Steam was a funeral dirge.....I mean come on rainbows and animal people still? I feel like that stuff is very over played and over acknowledged. Wish politics weren't so often placed in our fantasy worlds. But that's only my opinion I am not trying to speak for the rest of normal people however nice series so far just needs more filters

FF14 feels like the least "political" MMO to be honest. No gay characters, no trans, they never celebrate "pride month". Its just not a thing in Japan and im glad about it.

The base game is about stopping a fascist regime from using a super weapon to annihilate anyone who doesn't fall in line with their fascism. It's been political from day one.

There's a sidequest in Forgotten Springs where a female Miqo'te will flirt with you regardless of your character's sex. Haurchefant literally said he wanted to engage in pony play and ride the WoL in the 2014 Heavensturn event--regardless of if they're a man or woman. It's had plenty of LGBT characters and there's a long and storied history of LGBT characters IN JAPAN. Your glorious haven of heterosexuality only and no gayness whatsoever never existed in Japan. Stop listening to weeaboo wet dreams and actually interact with Japan as a real place.

Pictomancer and Hrothgar (Ronso) triggering them would be funny, as they are old parts of the series at this point.

As for political discourse. Final Fantasy XIV has always been political in nature, so that would be funny too.
