Ok. Can you sign into Mogstation using your credentials? If you can’t then you need to do password reset using their links on Mogstation
if that's not the case, reset it again, paying particular attention to caps lock -- make sure you don't have sticky keys or something
Try resetting your password on Mogstation using a different device such as your phone. I’ve known people over the years where for some reason this worked for them.
Ah. Okay, so it might be because it matches an old password you've used or uses invalid characters, or it's something they specifically have blocked off (it might auto reject your user name, for example -- or the word 'password'). Try using only letters/numbers, no symbols. It does NOT accept spaces, afaik. Make sure it's longer than 8 characters. Think about what password requirements were from a decade ago, and generate the password based on them.
ETA: Here are the actual requirements:
bolded by me for emphasis, and I am fairly sure they have instituted a 'it can't match your previous password' one also because that's a pretty basic security precaution.
Here are some good example passwords for this specific system:
ThisPasswordSystemSucksx2
HowD0UExpectMe2Remember
ThisIsWay2Long
MouseTableBook2
MyITDepartmentSucks12Squirrels
It might reject the first one because it has the word password in it, but it's an example. A mixture of letters, case, and numbers made into a phrase you can remember without struggling is the best password you can do. When a system allows for it (this one doesn't), putting spaces in is even better. Because of how password cracking works these days, length is more important than most things. If you use dictionary words, squish several together. I had 'MouseHouse' on there but that's a bad one, because it's another word for Disney so dictionary brute force will guess it.
Unless you work with PII or secure information, this is good advice. If you work with PII or secure information, please follow the rules of your friendly local IT department regarding relevant requirements.
