noob question ... missing a status bar?

When I was crafting items, I would click on "waste not" and it would show me an icon up above the crafting window with the number of that was left on the icon. When I clicked on innovation, a second icon would appear beside the first one with the number of innovations I had left. the "waste not" would then show a 7 instead of an 8.
I don't see these Icons anymore.
I went through all the HUD layouts for the system, and couldn't find anything. Also I couldn't find anything on a google search (may not of asked the right question). Does anyone know what happened to them or how to get them back?

IIRC they show up in two places: your actual buffs and debuffs, same places you would see them for fighting jobs (party list, your buff/debuff HUD elements) and in the crafting window. IIRC in the crafting window you can hide them, it's some sort of arrowed thing at the bottom of the window. You might've clicked that.
