To justify the use of cheats
If you just want to download some cute outfits Hair mods and / or Boobies
Go ahead you can No one can really stop it
If you want to use that automatic crafting thing Automatic gathering thing
You're putting your own Account at risk.
Just be smart about it
A lot of people put "mare" in their search info
Mare or not
And Mare is a pulg in But let's you share your code with other people And you.
Can see their mods that they have currently on
For example
You see me in game and I have a The afro hair equipped But in reality on my screen I have an hair mod That gives me a wicked huge mohawk
Once I trade you my marecode And you give me your miracode
You will download my look on your game and see me the same way.I see myself and vice versa
This also works with custom emotes Outfits bodies Even custom animations for skills all work over mare
If it automatically crafts for you or automatically gathers for you.Bad automatically plays the game for you bad
There's also no real difference between a simple UI mod and a cheat engine. They're all ToS violations and will all result in suspension or bans if you're caught.
So, don't get caught. Square doesn't scan for third party software so the only way you'll get suspended is if you hand them evidence.
By the spirit of reality, they don't have, at least to our knowledge, any type of spyware to detect mods.
Why?Yes, technically, it's against the tos They don't seem too keen on banning people over hair mods
( Like ninety eight percent of balmung all uses mare)
And that would be a lot of revenue to ban for hair or ui mods
in theory are probably all mods which affect only your character (like cloth mods) etc. probably fine. reshade and gshade (like SE called them screenshot tools or something like that xD) aswell because they give you no adventage over other players.
it starts to go into the negative as soon it is nsfw and really bad if you use mods/plugins which are like deadly boss mods in WoW etc. those are considered cheating.
while mods (like you noticed on your own) and plugins are in general forbidden, are there certain grey areas, you would still get suspended for it but, probably not that bad then if you would straight up cheat. one of my FC members got suspended for 3 days because he was dumb and shown a screenshot in public. it was only cloth modding, so was it aswell written in his suspention notice via mail that it is forbidden to mod the game etc. vs that, like long ago in 2023 was it i think, cought SE (because of a mass report) someone literarly cheating with plugins and he got straight up 10days, still not a permanent ban but what he used was call out plugins for mechanics. am pretty sure that, if square enix would ever cought someone with those plugin mods which tell you exactly where to go BEFORE the mechanic even happens is that a perma ban cause SE considered those plugins/mods clearly as cheating.
tho SE seems to take into account how severe the violation is and wether it gives you an adventage over other players or not.
therefore might you get only for 1~3 days suspended cause you modded cloth etc. while they would probably give you 10days or worse if they catch you with a plugin which they consider soft cheating/cheating.
