Should I keep Marauder or stay as Warrior?
I've just hit 30s and got soul of the warrior emblem job. Makes sense, all's good and nice so far.
But, I am puzzled even more now. I see so many new skills on the Warrior branch, and I also like the stats it gives, I am trying to setup as a secondary profile Warrior skills without affecting the Marauder ones I already have. But there's still so many!!!!! Am I supposed to use all skills between Marauder AND Warrior? Some of Warrior's skills seem to have less timing but the exact same ability as Marauder, feels almost like duplicate skills but higher level.

Am I supposed to fill all of my 32 bars on my controller with both of them's abilities? Or should I use specific ones only like some from Mar some from War? I hope that is the case, otherwise BIG rip, will be super anxious with so many skills....

There is no reason to ever switch back to MRD from WAR.

Warriors are the advance class of Marauder all the skills Marauder learns Warriors, by extension will too . Never look back once you equip the stone.

though there ARE players who stick with Marauders past 30...but we don't talk about them

Warrior is just Marauder+, it's a straight upgrade with no reason to stay as a Marauder. In fact, people will hate you if you don't have your job stone equipped as you will be weaker and not have a bunch of abilities.

Notice that Marauder only has abilities going up to level 50 while Warrior goes all the way to 80.
You've just unlocked the "real" class, so to speak.

I can't speak for Warrior as I haven't levelled one, but with other jobs some abilities just get replaced with more powerful ones as you level. For example with the Scholar the spell Ruin gets replaced with Broil at level 54, Ruin just vanishes from your bar and Broil appears in it's place.

Okay, I understand, I also prefer the higher boosted stats on Warrior, but my question is : Should I keep specific skills and mix-match to still have space on my hot bars or do I really, REALLY need to have both Mar AND War's skills, ALL of them, in my hot bars???? I am getting anxiety attacks.

Put on bar only those skills you can use up to your level, and learn proper usage of them adding new skills as you gain them while leveling / doing your job quests. Don't put all those skills for higher levels as you will be overwhelmed and it will take lot of time till you get to use them.

the Warrior class can use all of Marauder's "skills" so yes

or don't, and not be at 100% like everyone expect you to be in group content

I doubt you NEED to use all your skills to "reach the end" but someone will notice for a certain situations that you're not using them

I never really used ♥♥♥♥ like Holmgang to be honest

I agree, as I will eventually start unlocking them bit by bit. I am asking if I must/need to have both Mar's and War's skills all of them on my hot bars. Or do I need to use a few of them from each? Like I said, some skills on War look almost identical to Mar's and it confuses me, not to mention their number overall is 26! That's way too many combined.

*laughs in Scholar*

just use the skills you'll use the most in a easy to reach command (combos, AoEs, oGCD ect)

like I said, even though there's an "purpose" for each skill doesn't mean you're gonna use every one in EVERY battle though

though I quit using an controller and stuck to my keyboard for this very same reason though....

(though it IS best to read what each skill does and determined which is going to see more use while keeping the others on separate tabs/channels I.E Turning Tank mode on and off shouldn't be on the default controller page)

That's interesting, and it does make sense, maybe I'll keep looking for something both easy and viable. Note to self : To stay away from Scholar. lol

I don't know what level are you but are you sure about 26 skills? Combining skills from role and job it is much less at level 30. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/warrior/

Marauder's skills AND Warrior's skills together are definitely 26. Just counted them again to make sure. And these are Actives only, not counting the role's, which, with the additional of 7 more from roles so far that I have, they reaching a 33 number. That's really insane. I am talking about the end game where I am gonna have all of them, all 33 of them, with the 26 of them being the actives. Was wondering if Warrior was like the typical version of "enhanced/better skills than Marauder" so I could replace and save up some space for other things like healing items, chocobo, etc.

they share skills since they are technically the same class

both have the same combos and even the Warrior class will "Upgrade" older skills too (totally replace them)

so Berserk will become Inner Release later on

this was...already mentioned before right?

I get the feeling you are trolling me now.

Jokes aside, because I am sleep deprived and my eyes are burning up, for real or you were jesting? In that case, which abilities should I replace? - I get Warrior is way stronger and from what I read from the skills they seem like a better version of each, just don't know which ones to replace from Marauder's.

like I said before, all will have a "use" but moves like Holmgang, Interject, Shrink and even Upheaval may never see use for the "average" player

its up for you to decide what kind of tank you'll be
