MGP Grind?

I'm trying to collect triple triad cards and was wondering the best way to grind MGP. (That Cloud Card is pricey.)

I've looked it up and heard that the best thing to do is Challnge Log -> GATEs -> On A Limb minigame. But this was from 2 years ago, so I wonder if there's better options now.

For the Cactpot thing, just make sure to always form a triangle with a dot in the middle. That's the best way to see which line could be the best option.

I dont understand how to use the cactpot solver. I've never played it before and there's no instructions.

Never done it myself but with the help of the wiki i figured that you just insert the numbers you have and it picks the line with the most rewards for you.

Please correct if i'm wrong

Talk to the mini cactpot broker at the counter in the saucer and you can buy I think 3? scratch cards every day for a small mgp fee. When you buy a card one out of the 9 spots has a number in. Plug the number in it's spot into the solver, after you do that some tiles will light up green. In game you click one of the light up tiles and enter the number in it's position on the solver which will light up different tiles. Repeat til you have it filled out. It's nothing you can't do yourself with math, it's basically just a probability solver. You're not always going to land the big dollars but at least to me it helped me win bigger almost every time

Pretty much what the person above said, fashion reports when you're a high enough level give out about 80,000 mgp and doing the weekly gold saucer challenges in your challenge log rewards you with a nice amount.

The cactpot solver might help you win big but it's just guessing what has the best odds rather than showing you a sure thing. When playing minicactpot, just be on the look out for a row of 123 and have a secondary goal of trying to get 789 as they are both the highest paying payouts.
The chocobo races also pit you up against npc's more often than not due to very few players actually doing it.

Ya. I got like 240 out of it. Not great. But that 10000 is enticing.

note that because it's a scratch ticket that requires a sum to win big, it's not possible to get 10,000 every time even if you guessed perfectly. The solver just makes the best choice for the most likely high pay outcome

Also I forgot about the fashion report but this is definitely the easiest way to get a weekly big payout. There's a thread on reddit in r/ffxiv every single week that details exactly what gear and dye you need to score 80+ and get the 80,000 MGP

The upcoming Moogle Tome event is probably your best bet right now to grind out MGP. Farm Hidden Gorge PvP non-stop for the tomes and then trade them in for the MGP Platinum Cards which gives 50k MGP each. I was able to get 1.5 million MGP last time this event came around including multiple mounts.

To expand on that, it's a user called "kaiyoko" on reddit, he does an exceptionally user friendly post every week specifying how to get 80+ cheaply. And it's only 60,000 MGP every week, but that's still comfortably the best MGP for the effort you put in.
