Arrrrrgh Titanic Sawfish!!

I've spent 2 days trying to catch this slippery little sod now, I have so many Silver Sharks it's unbelievable lol

Can someone who has already caught it offer some advice? Like how much perception you had and the map coordinates where you caught it!

Doesn't really matter much I'm afraid. You see it's a double mooch, and the mooch portion's totally RNG. So you have to HQ twice, then hope you get lucky.

The only place to really catch em is where the quest tells you to go to.

PS Sharks are good money.

PSS If you know the 'chain' of stuff you need to catch, then you'd know to ONLY use a low level bait (so you'd ONLY catch the fish that starts the chain).

I just always end up with a Silver shark at the end of the chain..

Guess i'll just keep trying until I catch it or go insane lol

What's your gathering? There's a min gathering required to catch the fish.

230 gathering 210 perception... I know I've heard of people saying you need 300 on each in order to catch it... I've pretty much decided to go do some crafting jobs and come back with grade 3 materia enhanced gear

Spirit-bonding. Faster and more profitable. Plus you can level your choco while you're at it.

PS No minimum gathering/perception for this fish. If there is (post 2.2 fishies), it'll say so. That being said, it helps. A lot. The more mooches you get, the faster you can get the sawfish. Instead of once every 100 hours, it can drop to once every 4 hours.
