Square Enix ID Help.

I've tried about 3 accounts now and I still can't get it to work. I make an account and I can log in fine with my email, but when I try to log in via FF XIV it won't use the email. It asks for an ID but when I try to use the nickname I set it says "ID or password is incorrect." I looked up this and nothing has helped so far. I tried to log in on the account management system and it still won't let me log in using my email. I'm so lost and I really don't want to have wasted money on this game. Please help me.

did you add your serial number to your account before trying to log in to the game.

How do you find and add your serial number? And I can't log in to mog station without my ID.

Library->FF14->CD Key

You have 3 accounts with 3 different ID's pick one account and apply your CD Key to it, that'll be the account to use for the launcher and the Mogstation.

I should probably say that the problem is on PS4 and no other websites helped me so I came here.

I believe on ps4 they email you your code or you have to link your PSN to gain access.
Open up FF14 and there should be a Tab that says account.

Choose one of your accounts that you want to use and sign in.
Inside there will be an option to link your ENIX account with your PSN.
Once that is done you should be able to login the game like normal.

Are you entering something into the one-time-password box? if so, don't...that's for people with extra account security (the physical or software "token").

I am having the same problem. i've registered in the Square Enix website. nickname as Kianotorious. Is that the Square Enix ID they are asking for? Logging in the website is no problem since they also accept my email on log in. But I can't get FFXIV without the ID using steam

Apparently, my issue was that my account was a SquareSoft (or was it Eidos) account ported to a Square Enix membership. For some reason Their SE membership and SE account is not the same thing, so I just had to create a second account on their "SE account" page and viola SE ID.

Oh my, how much more incompetent a company can be?
PC Launcher says "you need square enix account" and i have one, so i click "I posses SE account" ("Select this option if you have a Square Enix account but have not added a FINAL FANTASY XIV service account.") but launcher asks for square enix ID and the field is limited so i cant even type my email there, and nickname is not working either.

My account works on https://eu.square-enix.com/en/account/ so i guess thats as much square enix account as it can get...

EDIT: So after some digging i found http://support.eu.square-enix.com/faqarticle.php?kid=67426&id=612&la=2&ret=faq&pv=10&page=0&c=0&sc=0&so=4&q=square+enix+id which suggest to check your ID on https://secure.square-enix.com/ but my above account wasnt working there. So it looks like there are two squae enix accounts...
So creating this account works on launcher.
