FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

so basically dawntrail is going to be like this
story
dungeon
raid
RP

then it repeats itself.
when will they try something new?
when will new systems be implemented(this doesn't have to be part of the main game)
when will jobs be unique, atm if you pick a dps you dps that's all you do, if we look at FF11 DPS jobs offers alot more than just damage, same with tank and healer jobs.
when will gear matter i wonder if everything is perfectly balanced via sync?
just allow us to skip the gearing process at this point lmao.
when will they actually look into a world revamp?
imagine going through the world and then at the end of endwalker you have two options RP in limsa/stare at your screen or do hunts.

seriously the only time i have fun in the game is playing blue mage.
i wish they would release a eureka type patch where you have broken/extremely fun jobs like in FF11 but in FF14 such as the blue mage.

i also do not like yoshi-p's approach to "if you are feeling done with the game you can come back later" but if i come back later and do all the things in a day i have 29 days of where my sub will be wasted. there really need to be an overwhelming amount of optional content that is fun to do. preferably if it had some fun skill tree mechanics or a dungeon where your abilities evolve like in a rouglelite. (elder scrolls is doing this)

as a long time fan i want something brand new and exciting but instead they feed us the same kind of roller coasters each expansion.

Loooool

Its too much man waaaay to much. some classes outright feel unplayable to the average player.

Im allready playing quitar hero with my keyboard on some jobs.

And if they not fix the bloat ALL jobs gonna end up like those sooner or later.
Its damn unenjoyable to play like that.

You need to get better at keybinding then.

When you need to keybind this much its bad design.

Did he make the music, or write the story? Yes, it's a bad take, but that's not the reason they deserve clown emoji, the reason is that they went from complaining about lack of change to complaining about change in the blink of an eye.

What does any of that have to do with the fact that the gameplay is very much DMC?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDbp2q5tvIA

Remove the title and the entire combat screams "This is a DMC game."
DMC has a whole ass game that the fans don't consider a DMC game despite having the traditional DMC combat, but yes, FFXVI "is a DMC game" :headcrab:

I'm betting you consider CoD or Soulsbourne the only good design lmao

Well they did just announce what content is coming in DT.
So your prediction was off.
While we get dungeons/trials/raids/alliance raids, we will once again get a Field Operation (Eureka,Bozja).
We will also get a new content, presumably aimed at crafters/gatherers, what I think will be similar to the Diadem. This will also be group content, well aimed at groups, but can be done solo.
We will also get a new limited job, so you might be happy with it, since you like Blue mage so much.

that job better be beast master! >:(
basically my biggest gripe is the lack of love for world exploration once you are done with the beginning and all the way to endwalker and onwards!
i swear i have no idea if you're talking about ffxiv anymore

Yes, the new limited job is officially confirmed to be beastmaster. I'm looking forward to it.

just another DPS class that doesn't set itself apart.
FF used to be a game where you picked a dragoon to deal high damage to flying monsters
magic casters had to use the correct spell to deal more damage to the target or the target could even absorb the elemental damage.
white mages protecting the party and enhancing combat capabilities with powerful healing spells.

and so on.
ugh....

I'm starting to hate modern final fantasy.
yoshi-p has ruined it for me personally overtime!

The thing is this is a traditional MMORPG where balance is important you cant really implement these stuff you want without Breaking class Balance. the last thing we need is Forced into parties full of 2 to 3 specific Jobs/classes ONLY for each specific fight because they are better then any other jobs/classes againts those specific bosses and enemies.

Yeah no thank you. i saw this and experienced myself plenty of time in other online games that tried it.
Those games are either dead or removed these mechanics because it broke the online gameplay.

No they both also have manny issues.
There is no games with prfect design they all have something bad in them if your not blinded by being a fan of said game.

Also those are not mmos so cant compare mmo design to them at all XD
Those games are Good AND Bad for different reasons.
Different genres different issues and different reasons to like them or hate them.

For an mmo example WoW and Swtor both has many abilities but not too much those are the ability numbers i personaly want to see here. Its a healthy ammount to play arround with but not overwhelming.

Mean while in ESO and GW2 classes have tooo few abilities to play with at once in my opinion also i HATE weapon switching :P
Weapon switching adds nothing to games outside of locking your other half of abilites to an extra button killing the fluidity of combat while also murdering your prefered Class + weapon fantasy.

Type/elemental advantage is usually cool, but it wouldn't work here.
As a Red Mage, for example, it would totally break the gameplay loop of my job, because we already need to balance between white and black magic to keep our mana balance.

you must be trolling
if you don't play ffxiv on steam, how many hours do you even have to have run out of optional content?
you sound like someone who'd enjoy ffxiv 1.0 for some godforsaken reason because all you enjoy is pain and suffering when it comes to lack of QoL
They used to do things like sharp and blunt damage, and it's gone for good reason.

Simply put FFXIV is at the perfect threshhold of manageable buttons EQUALIZED amongst jobs mostly. WoW has insane button bloat for healers even evoker (newest) but the dps specs can have like 5 button gameplay. I used to be afraid of more than 6 buttons but then I grew up and found out what works for me. You have to keybind for these games, you just do. You have to develop a personal system. Unless you absolutely give 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ about playing above the very baseline. It's hard at first, like everything in mmo's.
