When you need to keybind this much its bad design.
Well they did just announce what content is coming in DT.
So your prediction was off.
While we get dungeons/trials/raids/alliance raids, we will once again get a Field Operation (Eureka,Bozja).
We will also get a new content, presumably aimed at crafters/gatherers, what I think will be similar to the Diadem. This will also be group content, well aimed at groups, but can be done solo.
We will also get a new limited job, so you might be happy with it, since you like Blue mage so much.
So kinda excited waiting to play it. ^^
FF used to be a game where you picked a dragoon to deal high damage to flying monsters
magic casters had to use the correct spell to deal more damage to the target or the target could even absorb the elemental damage.
white mages protecting the party and enhancing combat capabilities with powerful healing spells.
and so on.
ugh....
I'm starting to hate modern final fantasy.
yoshi-p has ruined it for me personally overtime!
The thing is this is a traditional MMORPG where balance is important you cant really implement these stuff you want without Breaking class Balance. the last thing we need is Forced into parties full of 2 to 3 specific Jobs/classes ONLY for each specific fight because they are better then any other jobs/classes againts those specific bosses and enemies.
Yeah no thank you. i saw this and experienced myself plenty of time in other online games that tried it.
Those games are either dead or removed these mechanics because it broke the online gameplay.
No they both also have manny issues.
There is no games with prfect design they all have something bad in them if your not blinded by being a fan of said game.
Also those are not mmos so cant compare mmo design to them at all XD
Those games are Good AND Bad for different reasons.
Different genres different issues and different reasons to like them or hate them.
For an mmo example WoW and Swtor both has many abilities but not too much those are the ability numbers i personaly want to see here. Its a healthy ammount to play arround with but not overwhelming.
Mean while in ESO and GW2 classes have tooo few abilities to play with at once in my opinion also i HATE weapon switching :P
Weapon switching adds nothing to games outside of locking your other half of abilites to an extra button killing the fluidity of combat while also murdering your prefered Class + weapon fantasy.
As a Red Mage, for example, it would totally break the gameplay loop of my job, because we already need to balance between white and black magic to keep our mana balance.
if you don't play ffxiv on steam, how many hours do you even have to have run out of optional content?
you sound like someone who'd enjoy ffxiv 1.0 for some godforsaken reason because all you enjoy is pain and suffering when it comes to lack of QoL
They used to do things like sharp and blunt damage, and it's gone for good reason.
Simply put FFXIV is at the perfect threshhold of manageable buttons EQUALIZED amongst jobs mostly. WoW has insane button bloat for healers even evoker (newest) but the dps specs can have like 5 button gameplay. I used to be afraid of more than 6 buttons but then I grew up and found out what works for me. You have to keybind for these games, you just do. You have to develop a personal system. Unless you absolutely give 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ about playing above the very baseline. It's hard at first, like everything in mmo's.
