FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

An alarming discovery
During my daily meditations with Yoshida san I realized plogons will not survive the Yawntrail patch. Some people will go weeks without them, perhaps even months and have to try learning how to play the game properly like everyone else, shocking, I know but it's an obstacle those aforementioned players will have to confront. Dalamud devs had one job to prevent the functionality of some cheat plogons from doing what they currently do but they won't even blacklist them despite how they clearly cheat the game on a level that is just absurd. I'll refrain from posting links for obvious reasons (in good faith to abide by the Steam rules) as it's an infohazard. I've even sent their github repos to Square Enix in hopes they find some way to break them like the old waymark plogon from years ago. Github themselves isn't concerned because the code isn't malicious or breaching the acceptable use policies however there are known cases of Valve requesting certain repos being taken down in the past as that is within their legal right.

Also no one cares about your 99 parse unless you actively stream your gameplay. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Yinyang is a process of harmonization ensuring a constant, dynamic balance of all things. In western terms, think of Hegel's Dialectics. You have the thesis and the antithesis in which together they arrive at a better understanding of things.

I am the darkness. :lunar2019coolpig:
Plugins ain't going anywhere. Don't worry about it.

Because he's funny and doesn't take himself seriously at all. The funny is key.

Nobody actually thinks he's lunching with Yoshida, but the way it's presented like that makes people laugh. He also takes such an over the top stance that THAT makes people laugh, too. It's hard to hate somebody that makes you laugh.

There's also an actual real point in there, so there's that too.

Yoshida-san should silently introduce VAC into DT banning all plogon users and cleaning the filth from the game, no more reporting Mare Lamentorium people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the game
"Mare Lamentorium" people are like 97% of mod users

And the closest thing I could find to cheating is gather buddy

And that's on such a miniscule level
I only call it cheating on a technicallity

I don't even use the things and even I have heard about Cactbot, which is 100% cheating. Getting audio and visual cues that other players don't is not even shades of grey area, it's blatant.

It's like why play the game if you just want the cactbot to play for you?

I feel dirty, but agreed 100%, lol.

(To be fair, I do use DBM in The Game That Shall Not Be Mentioned, but they've gone on record saying they design encounters with the assumption that raid teams are using it. BLUE TEXT.)

It's just that I've raided with people who depend on cactbot/triggers. Why not actually learn the fight using your eyeballs? I can't help looking down on them a little.
Eh. Cactbot is whatever.

It is probably the most commonly accepted, egregious, example of cheating out there. I would personally call it a gray area. It definitely is an unfair advantage, but I'd go a bit short of calling it fullblown cheating, but I suppose that entirely depends on what you consider cheating. If you call any form or unfair advantage cheating, then yeah - it totally is. However, for me it falls a bit short because while it can help you with knowing what mechanics are coming up and telling you (to varying degrees) how to resolve the mechanic, you the player are still responsible to actually perform the mechanic and still have a functional understanding of what you are doing.

I can totally see why Cactbot is the line that some people will not cross and call anyone that uses it a cheater, but for me it's just another app. There are more egregious mods and plugins out there, but Cactbot is notorious for a reason.

Can't look down on someone when you don't raid. After all, you never once told anyone what your character name is.

So at this point it's all just empty claims.

I don't raid anymore. But honestly if I tell who my characters are you and I both know there are people here who will stalk and report me for every little thing. One frequent poster even got suspended for making a post encouraging everyone to mass report me. Why would I subject myself to that again? If you want to think I'm all empty claims, that is perfectly fine. My ego does not care.

It's like Hunter pie from monster hunter
Though I would say hunter pies more cheating than this

Nobody actually thinks he's lunching with Yoshida,--
Yoshida san is a very diligent, hard worker but his time management skills are not that great. He has published literature and maintains a position on SE's board of directors. While you are right on me never having personally dined with Yoshida san, I know a gal that knows a guy that once brought him a 600 yen cup of ramen from a nearby convenience store because we assign people and rotate them in/out to take care of his menial tasks like preparing lunches.

Honestly I don't care if people cheat the game and their own experiences but I wish SE would at least make a server side anti cheat solution that could potentially detect cheats like Cactbot. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Excuses. Any claims from plugins and raiding that you make have 0 substance because you said you're literally not involved anymore.
