FF XIV ONLINE IS A SCAM , AND WHY NEW PLAYERS RUN AWAY AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE? THREAD

i am a new player was excited to play the game until boom surprise you have to pay monthly subscription not only u have also to purchase that game that you can't access after a month of purchasing, also i just paid for the entry lvl and linked it to my steam account, now i can't access either one and i can't refund even with 0 min of playing
if that's not a scam i don't know what it is, i never seen a game that you can't refund
SO HERE'S TOP REASONS WHY THIS GAME IS PURE SCAM FOR THE PLAYERS:

- Free trial Players have more access to the game whenever they want unlike pigeons who pay 15 $ a month they get locked up like little ones after not paying their master

- for people who play casually or during the weekend or sometimes u have just 1 week free, why pay for monthly 15 $ to play for a month when you can't be there
WHY THERE'S NO OPTION FOR WEEKLY SUBSCRIPTIONS OR EVEN WEEKEND SUBSCRIPTION LIKE GAME THAT CARE ABOUT THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS
no one has to pay for hours that they don't play

- why you have to purchase the game for 60 $ if it's a subscription based game
in reality you don't own no game it's just pure scam if u pay monthly subscription you don't have to pay for a full game that you get locked out from

- also what's the linking thing between steam and their website I've never seen such disgusting system ever that's what happens when the game apply 2 different purchasing systems now u have to buy game on steam and on their website as well + monthly subscription for pigeons of course xD

i can't believe you support them for 10 years and you still have to pay the game twice on steam and on their site if not you get errors and u get locked up again

-but the funniest part is that the free trial option have unlimited time until you reach lvl 70
so a free trial person can always access the game meanwhile you slave who pay the game and it's subscription u get locked out once u don't pay hahaha

-also why the heck there's jobs in the game if you can't purchase no subscription with the in game money you earned , like you worked for that money and it have no value you it's just stuck in your inventory
I've never seen such useless in game currency

it's funny how some youtubers will rank this game s tier in reality, they just pigeons who paid 15 $ monthly + 60 $ for a game they don't own, they got scammed hard that they couldn't say anything bad about it cause all their investment will be in veins

even my Netflix subscription is cheaper than this and have insane amount of content than this game

- how can this game get supported by pigeons for 10 years and still have all this scams hilarious

Hard disagree on the 'objective' part.
From a consumer standpoint you have the benefit of not needing to invest into the game to check it out and less "I've paid for this so I gotta make the most of it".
But it doesn't mean a lot when free to play games are generally known for lower quality gameplay (simplified game mechanics, lots of grinds for the sake of grinds) and a frequent push for players to pay.

And while the items on it could be considered overpriced (I personally dont see why one would pay so much for what the mounts are going for...) is it really sinful for the Online Store to exist? It's just kinda there and until dreamfitting (which you have to go out of your way to use) became a thing there were no references to it ingame.

Perhaps this is kiiinda harsh to say but (outside of understandable language barriers) people buying the game not knowing it's a subscription-based game is kind of a lesson in being aware of what you're buying.
Not reading entire Terms of Service is understandable but for this game there's plenty important info on at least the official store pages and the like.

Well, the main reasoning against f2p is that you can optionally buy stuff through microstransactions. And here is interesting fact - most people that I know that play f2p game that I'm playing (Lost Ark) are either not paying at all or the only things that they buy are skins/mounts (so things that you can also buy in ff xiv store).
Second thing - are sub games more polished? Not always.
Besides I don't argue that the sub is the main problem in case of ff xiv. Monetization model is what it is and every game has one.
I'm arguing that the way they treat paying customers is, to put it lightly, unfair.

And you may have not have liked it back then The game was more like an 11 2 then wow at that time
