FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

So you want to be an Archer / Carpenter
So, I'm a level 15 Conjurer, and have just had the Archer and Carpenter unlock quests pop up for me. Is there any reason to do or not to do these? Normally, I'd just look up information like this myself, but I'm new to MMO's so I have no idea what to search for.

Also, Leatherworker, Lancer, and Botanist are available. Is there any consequence for accepting them, is there one I should prioritize as someone who intends to play Healer, or should I just accept them all?

I don't believe there is anything wrong with it. Just remember you can only get experience in one class/job at a time. So if you start leveling one you wont progress in the healer class you wanted to focus on. Theres nothing wrong with unlocking them now incase you get bored later on and want to try something different.

It's recommended to pick a class and stick with it until at least level 50 due to how the armory system works.

Okay, so if I'm reading the "Armoury Bonus" correctly, it's best to unlock one or more classes that you may be interested in playing in the future, but only level your favorite class (in my case, Conjurer / White Mage), so that excess XP spills over into the other classes. Is Armoury XP divided amougnst my secondary classes (e.g. if I have an Archer and Arcanist unlocked, do I earn 50% Armoury XP for each), or is it awarded in full to all my low-level classes (in which case, I should unlock all the classes, even ones I'm not interested in playing)?

YES, that and food and xp buffs via FC's and stuff help too.

Don't forget to talk to the Smith in towns, usually by the INN and get that xp ring too.

I unlocked all of them with the intention of only ever playing Dragoon and now have all but 2 tanks and 2 healers at 80.

Bard being one of my favs.

It's 100% your choice and optional to pick up any class/job you want.
