How am i supposed to gear gatherers?

Levels Miner to 90 to solve the issue
Tries to gear Miner, Cant afford crafted gear, 300k per piece, Have 200k
Purple scrip gear is second best option
Looks up how to farm P Scrips, Guide- "So heres my pentamelded crafted gear" On multiple videos

you dont need a penta meld set for purple scrip thats only for min max stuff you can start with low income getting the mininum required for the scrips and buying the gear piece by piece and soon you have the whole scrip set, you can also use the regular lvl 90 grey set as starter to help if you dont have crafter to make one just buy the mats and ask for someone to craft wichs always cheaper than buying the thing already crafted

also dont forget to get some white scrip while waiting for the purple ones you can buy hi-cordial with it

Edit: not sure if you're using an app or site for timers i recomend garland bell for starters on scrips

Not sure why you are finding it so hard. I recently fully decked my gatherers in Penta crafted, but before that I got the full purple script set wearing only the level 80 gatherer script set whilst doing it. So as long as you are already wearing similar, you should have no issues.

As for long term, you can either sell timed node items like Ilmenite, bayberry etc to get money for your crafted set or even better level up your own crafters!

Play the game, do some roulettes, sell some stuff. Pretty much the same as any other MMO.

As others has pointed out, purple scrip gear is pretty good budget gear.
The best way to get to that is to do your weekly custom deliveries (be patient!) or do regular collectible turnins if you still want more.
If your gear is so bad that you can't do proper level 90 collectible gathering, you try doing the crystarium mean/scholasticate quests for scrips for level 80 gear if you haven't yet.

I don't know what server you are on but 300k a piece at this point in time before 6.5 patch is really high assuming thats the actual price on your server. If anything most gathering pieces are flying 50k-100k on average or under 120k on a good seller's day.

Unless u intend to craft/gather next expac stuff within the 1st few weeks of release, just settle with purple scrip gear and work your way to at least get the crafted tools or relic tools. Aside from custom deliveries, just do collectible turn ins for scrips and you should be decked out in purple scrip gear. If it is too boring for you, just do full leves turn in or add in a few map runs in your daily playtime to get the gil to buy the pieces (or buy the mats and ask someone to craft the pieces for you for a better deal)

Yea, the main option if you're not already rich is to slowly get scrip gear by doing weekly deliveries.

If you want to make real gil with things like gathering you have to invest heavily into retainers, and manage them. I've got 18 retainers that earn about 1 million gil per day if I keep them moving all day.
