How do I join the novice network as a mentor?

I recently became a mentor, but typing /n into chat doesn't let me join Novice Network.

Is there something special I gotta do?

What do you mean? I'm literally a trade mentor lol

The Novice network has a very tight limit on how many mentors can be in it. You just need to be lucky to automatically join it.

During busy hours the channel might be full with too many mentors and sometimes you will not be able to join. You have more chance to automatically join at non peak hours.

It's actually not that bad in Cactuar. Mostly a hangout spot, and sometimes my FC is offline late at night so I want to find someplace else to hang out

The NN shouldn't be a hangout spot though. You are right in that it IS one, but it SHOULDNT

On your chat window, look for an sprout icon and click it to join NN. Agree with Varyn though, it shouldn't be a hangout, but it is. Going to be surprised if they increase Mentor requirements again and this time actually increases Trade Mentor.

The NN isn't actually used to help new players, it's a hangout for people to talk about glam.

New players are better off going to one of the discords that give straight answers to questions they have.
