Is it possible to transfer gil through servers?
I have an account i can no longer use (EU) with about 800k gil
And a fresh, newly bought account (NA) i am using in a different server.
Is it possible to transfer the gil to my different character?

Generally speaking, no. Your best bet is server transfering and trading it over. Even then that comes with risk as you might be flagged for gil buying/selling by SE's system or GM's.

World Transfer service allows up to 1Million Gill +100K per retainer to be transfer. Other than that no. But for that low amount its not worth the transfer fee.

That really sucks
Ah well
The reason why i can't use the old account anymore is because my Steam region is America and my FFXIV account is EU (a gift)
So i can't pay through Steam Wallet funds, or keep using the account.
I'll just deposit on my FC and then go away i guess.

It's kinda worth it cause being a level 10 GLD with no FC and only about 500 gil on your pocket blows

I'm not 100% sure if this works or not because I don't own the game on steam but:
People have said before that if you clear your browser's cache, cookies, etc. and then go to the mog station WITHOUT booting the game's launcher up first you'll have the option to renew your sub via methods other than steam wallet, i.e. credit card.
This apparently works because that option to pay by steam wallet isn't tied to your account per-se but rather appears only when you have specific cookies added when you click into the mog station from the launcher.

Also, why not just make your new character on the same server as your main?
Get the Non-Steam Version.

Because the main was from an EU copy i received as a gift.
To play with an Aussie friend on Tonberry
But after he quit FF and i decided i had enough failed Titan EX due to lag, i bought the game again and went for an NA code and account.

Making also easier for me to pay through steam, as the currency exchange is more favorable

The codes have no affect on which servers you can use or how much lag you'll get, tonberry is a Japanese server, Your connection from Brazil to NA servers isn't likely to be much better than to ♥♥♥ ones. (your steam profile says you live in Brazil).

The codes do not restrict me from playing, true, but, the Steam Payment can only be on the region your code is from
That is the issue.
And besides, unless Japanese Servers and American servers are close to each other (which would be madness, though i don't doubt SQUENIX), there is a significant difference for ping.

I've had this discussion without someone in the past (about what servers are generally best to use for south america, albeit not specific to FF14) and iirc the ping from argentina (south America's only backbone server, you connect via that) to Japan was around 280, the ping to USA east was around 240, USA west was around 250.
Only a tiny difference which isn't likely to improve things, it's possible these figures have changed a bit in the last couple of years with new cables and servers being in place but the generall differences should remain the same.

I'm not 100% sure where exactly the Japanese server for FF14 are, but afaik they're in Japan, the NA servers are in Canada (Montreal iirc, the old Eidos infrastructre).

Back on-topic: The only solution is to create a new character on Tonberry, give that character all your gil and/or items you want to keep (you'll have to do this via another player as you can't add yourself as a friend to mail the stuff without logging on both chars at once), then pay for a transfer to w/e server you want, then trade the stuff to your new main char (or use this new char as your main)
You should definately test the server you want to move to first, it should be noted that lag isn't usually noticable outside of instances, the newbie training instances should be perfect for testing.

As was stated above it's possible that your account could be flagged as a gil seller by the automatic detection system for transferring such large amounts of gil in an unusual way, this shouldn't cause any major issues as it would (presumably) be un-flagged once an actual human looks at the details. (that and I'd presume gil sellers usually transfer much larger sums than that, so it'd prolly be under the radar anyway)
