FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Wanting to come back to this game, but what is the endgame?
After completing the stories/campaign, and DLC's, what do I do after? What do people who grind this game do? Besides fashion and housing ofcourse which is always amazing in my eyes. What content and activities is there to grind and focus on?

RP, Ultimate and Savage Raids or Deep Dungeons (Especially solo prestige title runs). Bozja and Eureka, despite being older content, can be considered "Endgame" too because of how they're structured leading into their final confrontations and certain restrictions placed upon them.

The end game is what you make it of it. My goal is to get 5,000 feast/cc wins in pvp. Some people are weirdchamp and like to use cheats or triggers in high end content. It all depends on what you want to do. :cuphead:

There is no defined end-game in XIV. As for what content each individual person does, that's usually down to the individual.

I mostly play Frontline, Alliance Raids, Deep Dungeons and Eureka/Bozja. Whilst waiting for new patches to drop. If I'm not doing that then I'm crafting/gathering.

It’s different for everyone. For some the endgame is savage and ultimate raiding. For some it’s crafting. For others it’s pvp, housing, role playing. It’s whatever you enjoy doing.

End game to me is just doing the regular motions that I do. I have *most* of the gear I want cosmetically, the one thing I don’t have are cool weapons. So relics are a fun pursuit, I tried Savage and ultimate raiding, but left. Ultimately iwork too much and can’t afford a 12, 16, 20 hour side job like raiding. I enjoyed it, but I burnt out hard. So, I slowly work on leveling jobs, getting relics, doing hunts to get tomes and currency.

petting loporrits and entering housing lotteries are the end game.

You can easily clear savage tiers week 2 doing 6-9 hours a week. You don't need a crazy 16-20 hour schedule unless you want week 1. My ult groups typically raid 9 hours a week. You are not gonna clear week 1 or whatever but you can easily clear an ultimate in a month or two doing 9 hours a week.

This game does not have an End-game. It does not focus on 1 thing like other games.

whatever you want.

After the story you basically run roulettes and Normal raids for gear on daily and weekly lockouts. Then if you have a static or don't mind dealing with Party Finder you can farm EX, Savage and Ultimate tier raids for mounts and pretty weapons.

The gear/raid treadmill is a very small part of this game, though; and won't keep you entertained long if that's all you're interested in.

The vast majority is basically figuring out which side activities you feel like participating in. Can be an omnicrafter managing 20 retainers and trying to get rich; or maybe focus on PvP, Deep Dungeons, Variant/Criterion Dungeons, old/current relic weapons, 1000's of hours of old side story content, housing, leveling alt jobs, Beast Tribes, collecting mounts/minions, whatever the ♥♥♥♥ island sanctuary is (never tried it), Gold Saucer games, etc.

95% of this can't be done after you've finished the main story? I must be playing a cracked, bootleg version of the game.

There's lots of content that isn't the main story that can be done pretty much whenever, but no real "endgame", as Hex said. Raiding exists, hard content exists, several fancy grinds exist, beast tribes and things like that -- but none of it is considered "end-game" content, it's just...content, and like you can start raiding/hard stuff at 50, there's raids at 60, 70, 80 -- and so on.

The dev focus in this game is the journey, not the destination. So unlike some other games that will not be named, it's not a rush through the story / to max level to get to the "real game", the "real game" IS the MSQ.

eta: I guess, really, the only strictly "end game" content that exists is Island Sanctuary, because that's locked behind the completion of Endwalker and there's no lower level equivalent. HOWEVER, there's MSQ after it now, soooo, it's not the end.

I just do what I feel like at the moment. I've been breeding racing chocobos, doing some side quests, some tribal quests, daily duty roulettes, leveling some alt jobs, the weekly stuff like custom deliveries, Doman Enclave donation and Woundrous Tails.

clearing the current savage raid tier and then making a roster to do ultimates. that's going to keep you busy for months. good luck.
