And as a player who ran out of sub and lost interest around the Role Quest in Shadowbringers, would it be worth finishing SB and getting and playing through the EW storyline?

I'm not really into dungeons, raids, or end-game content in most MMOs, I mostly stick around for a good story and to see the characters grow and overcome their challenges. FF14 was one of the best storylines I had ever experienced MMO-wise, so I'm curious if the story alone would be worth coming back to FF14 for a month or two before going back on hiatus until the next expansion.

I'm probably going to stick with my Dragoon but also try Reaper and continue leveling my Gunbreaker or Samurai on occasion.

i say to this
its always a way better experience to play it yourself then only watching it. sure, your version is for free but experiencing it yourself is way better.
for example; i watched a ton of subnautica letsplays and had like you the opinion "watching it is the same" then i eventually bought subnautica and playing it on my own was so much better then watching it.

Of course you should play Endwalker to the end. It's a great story and you, your character, deserves to get to the "end". If you plan out stop playing, do it after the end credits have gone and seen your journey, your story to the end.

All you need is EW and one month of sub (well if many jobs or not much free time then more) and done. I'd do it, totally worth it. If you played so far, might as well go to the end. To have a "closure" of sorts.

For me Endwalker was such a good expansion, that tied all the previous expansions together in conclusion so well. Other game companies should take note how games/expansions should be made lol. It was as good as ShB, had such good and epic moments, good pacing (mostly), moments of feelings, yes i cried a few times like a lil girl (i AM a lil girl what comes to size also.. so i'm ALLOWED to cry so shut up, and no one shall mention it ever lol!) and for me it was a 10/10 expansion. I love the game.

Oh god i wish 7.0 was here already, i wanna have full new zones and plenty of story content to do. Especially since i'm pretty sure 6.4 and 6.5 will leave us all into some huge cliffhanger until that next full expansion. :D

I gues so. FFXIV certainly is an amazing game with its main story, though I'm not sure it's a better choice then pure single player focused games if you're really after the single player experience.

Detroid Become Human is not worth it for the story ?
