Couple random questions

For anyone familiar with this particular side quest, for “A Bumper Crop” I’m supposed to take one of the two Sprite Apples I acquired and place it before a withered treant but when I target the sparkly spot to try and use a Sprite Apple it keeps saying “invalid target” so I’m unable to place it there to continue/finish up the quest. Does anyone happen to know what I could possibly be doing wrong or if it’s maybe a glitch? I even YouTubed the quest and watched someone be able to simply “use” the apple on the exact spot I’m trying to so I wonder why I’m unable to?

Also, I’ve been trying to play the game using a Ryzen 7 6800u (AyaNeo Geek) but it keeps crashing to desktop (no error code or anything) after I get through the cue and the game is right about to load into the map. Does anyone happen to know what may be causing the crash? Exits right out of the launcher and everything, it’s like I never even booted it up. The game runs just fine on my Intel I7 1195G7 and this is my first Ryzen product, so I’m not as familiar with them, but I tried to google any potential solutions to crashes with Ryzen for FF 14 but no dice finding a solution.

If anyone has potential insight into either of these two hiccups I’ve been experiencing, I’d greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

A few pf my friends play ff14 on Ryzen with zero issues. I had a Ryzen before and was getting random crashes. It wasn't frequent, but it would happen occasionally. I am currently running intel and have had zero issues.

Thanks so much for the responses! I appreciate the link Ellisar, the other walkthrough for the quest I had looked at didn’t say anything about placing 6 Sprite Apples, I remember picking 6 in the orchard so I wonder why I only have 2 in my inventory. That must be why it keeps saying “invalid target” when I try to place them, even though that’s listed as my next step.

Thanks for your input Integrity! I’ve never had issues with any of my Intel computers/devices running this game, so FF 14 must have a better aptitude with Intel, for me at least haha. I’ll keep trying to mess around with the settings on my AnyNeo Geek to see if I can figure anything out and if I can, I’ll update this thread in case someone in the future has a similar issue.
