Game crashes when I enter housing area in Mist

Hello, the game has never crashed on me before and when it does it crashes to desktop and the game closes.
I had a quest to enter an housing area called Mist. When I clicked on a residence, and I pressed select, it immediately went to a black screen very quickly and crashed and closed the game.
I have just tried to get into the game, with the character now stuck in that area I mentioned called mist, and when I click to enter, I go through waiting to get into the game and when I do, and I select my character, it immediately crashes the game to desktop again and closes.

Is this normal, what I mean is are there some very serious bugs that are causing this to happen? I have never had the game crash before, though I did try reshade and uninstalled it, no trace left of it, I was playing fine until this crash happened and I can't even get to my character because the game keeps on crashing me out..any solutions or this is a recognized problem and work around to get it to stop stop crashing on that one character? other character is unaffected, because it's never been to an housing area before. My stuck character is only level 6 I think off hand.

Just thought i'd had since writing this, I decided to do a game repair just in case, it said if that doesn't work, reinstall ffxiv, oddly enough it seems to be downloading the game again, which I never selected? it was just a file check for corruption. I chose restore game data.

You might be able to send your character to another data center from the character select screen(Not sure on low level restriction or not, hence the might). It would at the very least get you back out of the housing district to allow it to log in and return home.

Any error message or just black and gone to desktop?

It just went into a black screen and then quickly closed the game down. When the game has done what it needs to I will try out your idea of trying to move it to another data center, thanks for the idea :) I will update here when the game has done what it needs to do.

It reinstalled and I ended up in the housing area, and was able to move about and then get out of there. I have no idea what happened there, I thought I had lost my character and had to delete her, but it seems all is good now, thank you for your help :)
