Things to do before heavensward?

I am very close to lvl 50, I was wondering if I should level up other classes/profession before starting heavensward? in case I might miss out on something

You don't really have to worry about missing out, but the lancer/dragoon questline can give you some extra context on Ishgard and Estinien.

I mean... You can, but you dont Need to. A lot of ppl like to do all the raids, savages and extremes before going to the next expansion, but its not required. You can go back and do them Min. ILvl no echo later

Just finish heavensward and get to 60 (assuming free player). Your next classes level up a lot faster. You got 3 additional classes you can unlock in heavensward that start at level 30, a tank, a healer, and a DPS. Machinist and Astralogian are decent, but honestly at level 60 I think warrior and paladin are better tanks than dark knight.
