FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

The lobby server connection has encountered an Error (2002)
i cannot see any of my characters adn then i gert this error and the game closes.
is this a problem on my side or are the servers ♥♥♥♥♥♥?

If your VPN is interfering, I corrected the same issue by going into Task manager, closing the VPN software, then also stopping the background services for my VPN software, and then restarting my PC. After the VPN loaded fresh it worked again fine with the VPN on.

First time I opened the game had some error and couldn't open the game. Tried again and it worked fine.

up to this moment i tried
restarting router
restarting computer
restarting game multiple times

No idea then. I guess wait for some time keep trying again. First time I opened the game I got some connection error message too and it wouldn't go past that logo before you enter your login information. I restarted right after and it worked fine.

alright i got it to work i did

2002 is generally a you-side rather than server-side at this point. I get it sometimes when my network decides to act stupid (I'll get a 90001 or 90002 network flicker just long enough to act like an alarm clock resetting itself), and if it isn't quite back up when I try to reconnect, I get the 2002 with the client closing, requiring launcher restart.
