FFXIV on steam deck?

How does FFXIV run on the steam deck overall?
How is crafting/gathering on the deck?
Can you run dungeons on the deck or is it not recommended?
Lemme know how it’s been if you have tried it!

Works fine for me. Needed to restart the installation several times to get it installed, but now that it's working, it works fine.

Crafting/gathering is easy enough.

If you're skilled with playing FF14 with a controller, then running dungeons should be straightforward. If you're like me and used to mouse+keyboard, then you probably can't run dungeons. But that's just a skill issue.

you can ask a friend which has FF14 on PS4/5.
then do a duty.
if you cant do it with controller ... well then no. if you can, well.... then yes.
like justin wrote, the game runs fine on steam deck. the problem here is that someone which is used to mouse and keyboard will have it hard to get used to the controller settings.

i myself tried it once and ever since am i wondering how peoples can play FF14 with a controller. i know that it is an issue from my side, i would just need more practice but damn is it hard to get used to it xD.

I haven't done Steam Deck but I have played w/ controller and it's fine.

If you can't play with controller because you're too used to mouse+keyboard, you can try getting the Steam Deck dock and plugging in USB peripherals.
