Just to point out the fallacy in this particular argument, I pay real money every month for the ability to actually play the game.
The part where you *have* to visit your house every now and then is part of the terms anyway, as rude as it sounds, so it's kiiinda on you, unfortunately.
Yea, you do get a warning, but I went in long before that. My last login was on June 24th, so I still had plenty of time to go.
The problem is that I didnt physically go inside my house at the time, because I just didnt know that was also required. I certainly dont recall reading ANYWHERE that was a thing. I did a lot of reading on house demo, because I was worried, but nowhere was it stated about needing to actually go inside.
So you are right, it is my fault, and I kinda admit that, but at the same time, its not really my fault, because I did log in, I was not even close to the demo date when I logged in (or so I thought). So its still a fault on SE's side, as they shouldnt force us to goto the house, simply logging in should be enough.
However, in the end, losing my house in such a stupid way, was enough to make me unsub and uninstall. I couldnt care less about the people that dont agree with that, as they are probably the type to have like 10 houses anyways.
And yet, you don't pay real money for a piece of virtual real estate. Its a game. Go get your refund from auto demo before you lose that too, but then again, its just virtual currency
All I can say, and I know this is late but maybe it helps someone out there nonetheless, is that for next time, auto-demo is displayed on the second tab on the Timers window (CTRL+U) so you can always confirm wether it is still up or not.
Imagine trying to clown on someone because they are pissed off when they lose their house.
Alright then, transfer all your in game money to me since it's so worthless to you.
You're not going to get one ounce of sympathy around here.
You obviously didn't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about your house if you weren't even willing to STEP INSIDE once in 45 days. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, dude.
Decorating mostly. It does have some gameplay benefits. You can get crafting station bonuses and gardening items like Thavnairan Onions. Also FC houses can get extra bonuses and submarines.
Ok, so you bought a plot, built a house and...
Never visited your house?
Try doing that IRL and see how that works out for you.
Someone's definitely gonna break in and steal all your crap and it will fall apart and rot.
What's the point of buying a house, only to never use it?
SE took it away from you to give to someone else who WOULD use it, instead. Seems fair to me.
"If you aren't using your house, then why should we keep you as it's owner"
If you haven't ENTERED your house, then you're not really USING it.
