But yeah, Steam Wallet is unfortunately the best payment method here.
You must be doing something wrong.
I've had this problem. Payment options with credit card simply didn't show, until I switched to a different browser. Whoever designed the page simply weren't proficient enough to make it compatible.
To those who say "you must be doing something wrong". No. This is Square Enix doing it wrong. The Mog Station is indeed hot garbage.
Even if that is true, so.. what? They didn't account for one random browser someone was using that is probably either a fringe browser no one really uses or is severely out of date and that's their problem?
Yes, the website, the forum, and a lot of the things about SE are terrible, not to mention the customer service... I advise you to be careful and have your login and other information well backed up since so many have lost their accounts.
I really hope that one day SE decides to offer a much better service, given the huge sums of money they make from ff14, but I imagine that given the fanatics who forgive everything SE does, they're probably right to not give a damn.
Since OP stated he has an option to pay with steam wallet.... Might aswell pay by steam... Or your way of not giving them any info but also through steam:
Go to shop, get steam gift card, redeem the code, go to mogstation, select one time payment, pay using steam wallet...
its just for the elitists, ritzy and ditzy department.
Not bashing you.
I'll never understand people who pay such sums for such trivial stuff, I know we're living at the end of a cycle where human baseness and repugnance is at its worst, and this store is and will remain in my eyes a vile act to make even more money, in a normal world you should be able to unlock everything in the game given the subscription you pay...
If only players would unite against this kind of act...
It's obvious that I'm part of the old world and that, faced with this fxxxxx new generation, my world of values and logic is bound to fade away.
Really, nothing will surpass the beginning of the mmorpg, a glorious era filled only with mxxx players.
