New player. How do expansions work?

okay so im fairly new and im fairly far into heavensward haven't finished the msq but im capped at level 60. When they release this new expansion my level cap will raise too 70 and i can play till storm blood right? ALSO out of curiosity if i wait till DawnTrail will it still cost $40 on steam or will they up it too $50? if i own it do i already get it? i own the base game. I just need too wait for a sale for the expansion im too poor rn too afford it lmao.

Stormblood in the free trial (and the lvl cap to 70) comes in 6.5 which should be in less than two months.

The new expansion will cost exactly the same like the Endwalker expansion now and it will even include Endwalker

Yea so it would be cheaper too wait for the new expansion and buy it then right? Assuming it comes with all the other expansions ofc.

i doubt that endwalker would get cheaper tho. if you REALLY want it cheaper, wait until Dawntrail comes out and turns into a complete edition xD. but then have you probably to wait somewhere into mid 24 or longer.

Yes, just wait for Dawntrail to come out if you don't have enough money
