Is there a way to go from Steam to FF14 standalone launcher?

I would think if you buy a stand alone version, you could go to your account on mog station & add the product key to your account & just login (as even with steam version you create a square account to play. I have the steam version & the ps5 version & use the same account to log into both. I could be wrong though. Of course it may also depend on whether you pay for your sub through steam or through square too.

Steam and standalone share the only pc slot on the account so you have to have one or the other not both

Game is the same but there are benefits to using either. With steam you can use steam wallet as a form of payment. That might be really beneficial if you live in certain areas of the world I guess. With retail, there are more sales. Steam have fewer sales. And the minor thing is when you buy expansions on steam, you have to go to mogstation and input the keys and all that stuff. Not hard for most people but just an extra step you don't need to deal with if you are retail. Most players I've talked to prefer retail. Myself included.

I mostly want to take it off so others can use my steam family share more often.

The only thing I can think of that doesn't involve starting over would require a fair bit of patience and learning on the part of most folks.

You could buy the Mac version for your current account, then use one of the many ways that exist to run a Mac program on a PC.

That's the only way I can think of that doesn't involve starting entirely over.
