Okay so I just decided to try and play the trial for this game and realized I had a Square Enix account and linked it and it gave me this error, does this mean I will never be able to play this game on steam? Or if I bought the starter bundle would it let me play?

What do you mean with „try“? The error tells you you had already a subscription on this account. If you wanna play the trial you have to login with a new account and not lying to us.

I have never once paid for this game I however did for some reason have an account, Talking to some other people it seems I might have either gotten a free trial due to a limited time deal or possibly from an old twitch prime though

thats what I was wondering though if I paid for the steam starter pack would it let me play? I dont wanna buy if it doesnt since it says non refundable
