I don't flame people in-game. People like you who refuse to be useful to anyone but insist on getting carried are way more toxic.
Uh-huh.
Did I ever say it was?
No, I didn't.
Just the fact that you seem to think this one class sucks so bad pretty much tells all of us despite what you say, you don't actually have a clue how to play it well.
You know that's fine, right? Neither you or anyone is a god who knows how to play every class in this game on an expert level. It's okay to admit you're just lashing out because you've dealt with a handful of crappy BLMs and instead of just accepting that you want to pretend the whole class is fundamentally flawed when you don't know the first thing about playing it optimally.
I'm not particularly experienced with tanking or playing them optimally, but I don't try to pretend all tanks are ♥♥♥♥ in this game because I run into some bad ones (and dear god do I sometimes.)
not the tool's fault people are stupid
Yes, how dare someone expect for you to carry your weight in a group setting. Everyone else should play the game for you. Because you're just that special.
If I am good, than I would like to teach others how to do the same.
If I whine because someone is doing bad, I am not helping them be better, nor am I helping myself be better either.
If they refuse to listen or are having trouble performing to good advice, then rebuking them is not likely to make them perform better, nor improve their attitude.
So in the end, it is good to be kind to people, not just in the hopes they will be kind towards you, but also to minimize the impact such negativity they may have on you and others. There are tools to deal with problem players with no to minimal drama, such as blacklisting and reporting if they get out of hand. No need to involve others.
Because at the end of the day, you are playing a video game. If you are not having fun, then it matters not how well you do, you have already lost.
I help people how to play their job all the time in my FC because I took the time to learn how to play every job in the game to a competent level. Randoms however, will always get angry no matter how nice you are about it, it does not matter. Considering it's bannable offense to "bully" people for how they play. all you do is risk your account and that's utterly idiotic, no sane person will ever do that.
If I meet someone in-game that is truly horrendous, I just blacklist and move on with my life. It is absolutely not worth it.
Bunny girl > cat girl tho.
I don't have a problem with parsing, but parsing is notorious for having a history of creating a really dumb atmosphere of requiring a certain dps level that's well above the required dps to clear an enrage.
The basically "grey" area of XIV is perfect. You can parse yourself and along with your static all you want, but keep it to yourself. Yoshi will never add an in game parser so so many obvious reasons. Last thing we need is people joining learning party groups just to get kicked out if their dps isn't "up to par" because they dared to try and learn the fight while practicing their rotations around the mechanics.
I give pointers to people all the time in game. Its never been an issue. If you're worried about being reported then that's a you problem and the way you give "advice."
Of course you did
This. So much this.

It's the same thing at real life work places, those with "angry boss" who does nothing but angry rants, lashes out and leads with a culture of fear, where everyone just hopes to be invisible, to not be the daily target of anger and harassment for just being at the wrong place at wrong time, or god forbid doing a small mistake as a new employee (when no one has thought you anything, but everyone abandons you as they all just worry about themselves not becoming the target)..
It's studied facts that work places and communities (gaming also) do a lot better and people learn and are way more productive when they are supported with teaching, respectful and inclusive environment where people feel they are working towards a common goal and can focus on getting better at it, even to use some creativity to improve things where applicable. People generally react better to positive leading with example. Trying to perform well when someone is breathing over your neck with angry rant 24/7 does not work. Just facts.
So most often i see no point with these types of angry rants. Especially when its just clearly venting out some frustration after some repeated wipe or something. Obviously SE is not gonna remove BLM and good BLM players gonna be staying good, and new ones have the ability to learn to be good, if given that chance. And the obvious fact is, same could be said for any class.
Yes, if you go watch in game you can see people sometimes struggle even with SMN.. now should that be removed from game? Nope.
Solution for OP: Just play in a static, where you know all the players will play at the level you expect, and if not, switch groups until you find what you are looking for. And if you do not find such, but the wipes, frustration, not getting clears, follows you everywhere, then you know.. you have found your reason. And it's not the other players or classes.
