Solution with character creation in Congested servers?

I play mmos in great part because of the RP, I honestly do not really see the point of just grinding and levelling up , plenty of other games for me to to that with a lot less stress.

Even though I live in EU I was recommended the NA servers because it is the only place where there is RP, I first created a character on the EU Omega server, but most people would just make fun of RPers for even mentioning "R"P (ahh.. the sweet irony of people playing a JMMO and calling others nerds....).

Then I started playing on NA Mateus, met a lot of nice people, made friends and all, took a break from the game, so I completely forgot my class, the story and everything, I wanted a fresh start. Unfortunately I cannot create a new character there because it has been congested for the past 4 months ( I have been checking daily), and that is day or night at any time.

Visiting servers never worked either since they are always congested anyways and you cannot visit.

It is quite frustrating I have never played any other mmo where you are unable to create a character even if you are willing to pay.

Is there any solution at all, or should I just give up and move on?

Also logging in is not the same as creating a character (if there was any confusion about that).

If your only concern is RP, create a character on any server in NA and then just travel t whatever server you want to RP in.

I don't know why you say visiting never works. Maybe you tried during endwalker release but right now there is zero issues. I travel all the time for hunt trains to different servers and Data Centers.

CONGESTED is a hard flag set by SE as a population balancing measure, and it's not going to be removed until the population is more balanced on the NEW servers.

There really is no solution if the only thing you want is to make a character on a CONGESTED server. There's no way to do that until the flag is lifted, period. You can't even transfer a toon to a CONGESTED server any more.

Server/Data Center travel works completely fine in FFXIV. No problems at all.

I suggest watching story recap. If you played through it once that should be enough to light up all the sleeping memory neurons in your brain.

As in for gameplay you can check level 90 guides. You would much faster catch up then trying to re-do it all if you already have characterr

This. Unless you want to be on a FC with friends there's no reason to join a specific server.

That is not true at all, unless maybe you have a free trial account, that I don't know, but traveling is the same as login in, you'll be put up in queue and wait your turn to log in.

I travel several time per day for hunt trains, to every servers in NA, and not once my travel failed, it always works. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes instead of 1minute because the server is full or a lot of people are traveling at the same time, but other than that it's flawless.

Yeah, I pop over specifically to the congested servers for roulette queue times from Dynamis pretty much daily.

It's Congested with a capital C. (yes this is actually a thing) You're out of luck until 6.4 at minimum.

it says no such thing, nor is anything greyed out when you hop dc/server

Nothing gets greyed out when traveling. Even the day they released Data Center traveling it was really overused because everyone was curious and the worst that happened to people is having to wait an hour to log in to the data center they chose to travel to. I don't know what you tried to do but it's not travel.
