Soloing Eureka to get relic weapons.
I kind of want to get the Monk relic from Eureka and am curious about how soloable the whole process is, since I know it's technically dead content and I don't really feel like trying to put together groups for it.

If it is completely soloable how long does it take compared to like the ARR relic?

Why force yourself solo? Even years later, there's plenty of people in all 4 lands to do things with. When bosses or FATES pop, you'll see like 3 full alliances patiently wait for every one to get there and do a Pull Timer. Joining groups is super casual, too. just type "/shout LFG" and that's all the work done. No one is gonna scream if you leave or whatever.

Like, you can solo it, sure, but why would you make a zone intended for players to team up take 120 hours instead of 6. Keep in mind you will also lose EXP and levels if you die. If you;re gonna go pure solo, you're never getting a rez or you're gonna constantly be at risk of losing hours of work instantly.

If there are other players in the zones doing the content to I'll work with them; I just know it's really old content and I don't plan on trying to use PF or discord constantly to get groups together.

I also play at weird hours some times, so I just want to know that I can solo it if I have to. It would be annoying if I literally just couldn't accomplish anything when Eureka is underpopulated.

The fates in Eureka scales to the amount of player in the zone.
If it's just you who's in the zone at the moment, you can more or less solo most of them. If you happen to go into a more populated zone, you'll need to team up with a party in order to clear the fates due to increased Fate Damage/Health. So it's very much doable solo(if your only on one the server)

Your also not class restricted, since you get the relic material from doing the fates, called NM notorious monster's. So doing a Fate on your Warrior , wil still get you material for monk relic item.

As for mobs most classes can solo them, but their clear speed kinda depends. A Sage is capable of dealing both damage and healing, which means they can often take on 4-5 mobs at the same time, if you know what your doing, while a black mage might just be able to take on one mob at time.

So even if the Sage is dealing less damage, their clear speed is overall faster, because they are capable of dealing damage to more mobs. So classes with both sustain and semi-decent dps is overall recommend in my experience, for clearing mobs and fates.

I'd recommend doing it with a class that can heal itself. A lot of dps classes will lose out on the longer fights

Do you think a WHM or PLD would be better for Soloing Eureka? Those are the best self-healing jobs I have to work with. I'd assume WHM would be better at clearing FATES solo but PLD would have a better shot at soloing things like world bosses.

At first glance, i'd recommend White Mage of those two. I've not tried either though, so i recommend you just test it out. You can switch classes in Euruka, so it's not hard too see how it goes. Best advice, is honestly to just test it out, due to different playstyle people have. Personally, i've found Sage to be great.

Assuming you know which of the classes you prefer, i'd recommend checking on marketboard either "Kirin's Osode" or "Vermilion Cloak", which has a Stat called "Elemental Bonus". That increases amount of damage your dealing and decreases damage taken(In Euruka only), which makes it a lot easier. It does cost a fair bit of gil though, so only if you happen to have cash to spare.(You can also craft it, if you buy material and have appropirate crafting classes.)

Those can't be crafted. You need to buy "Cryptic Seals" or "Damascene Cloth" on the marketboard or get it in Eureka then trade it for the desired item with the guy at Pier 1 in Kugane.

I dunno about WHM. But apparently warrior and paladin are the two best solo classes in the game (at least a few months ago, I know a balance patch happened recently). Warrior apparently has a huge amount of self sustain and damage, paladin after the balance patch has a bit more self sustain than warrior now but a bit less damage? Thats what I've read anyway. But if any of the classes could potentially do it, its one of those two.

I'm actually rather new to FFXIV despite having it a while, but I've gotten into it a few days ago. But I did read up on a bunch of classes.

Is it possible to spawn and kill everything I need alone?

I'll group up with randoms if people are there and doing the content at the same time, but I don't want to be dead in the water if there's no help around.

Solo Spawning Nms is better to do if you have a Warrior and Elemental Fending armor +2. You get Elemental Fending from Eureka Pyros zone, and you can upgrade it to +2 from Baldesion Arsenal raid clears.

As you can probably tell, that's gear you can get AFTER you beat Eureka already.
