Endwalker for new players?

I'm about to get this game and give it a try, I'm just wondering if I'd get anything from Endwalker as a new player or if I should just get the starter edition and get Endwalker later when I'm further into the game?

Definitely play the trial and complete Heavensward before buying anything, that way you can unlimited time to do what you want and play the game. That's the base game + the first expansion offered for free.

If you like it then, buy base game + Endwalker. If you mean like "order benefits", I do not think Endwalker gives out the EXP earring anymore (believe it was pre-order only), which 100% would have been worth it. However, the collector's edition still grants the Arion mount, the wind-up Porom minion and the Death Scythe weapon.

I think it's best if you just stick with the starter edition and get Endwalker later. The only thing you can get early game with it is some of the classes but even then I think you have to hit level 50 for em. And in case you don't like the game then well you didn't sink an extra 40 dollars in it. But it's really up to you tbh. Someone correct me if I'm wrong tho

All that EW would give a new player is the ability to make your character a Viera of Hrothgar.

So unless you really want to be a bunny boy/girl or cat man, you're not missing much for now.

Yeah, unless you really want to be a Hrothgar, or Viera, and you want access of Red Mage and Samurai during Heavensward, there is no real need for Endwalker yet

Stick to the starter edition, if you end up wanting to play as bunny or body builder cat, you'll get a Fantasia by the end of the ARR story quest, level 50 or so, before Heavensward expansion, with that you can change your race and appearance for free once, after that you'll have to pay for other fantasias if you want to change again, but unless you really REALLY want to change race that much, chances are you'll store that Fantasia for years before touching it

Play the free trial.
You can get 400+ hours out of the game just from the free trial if you do everything in it.
The limits of the free trial are 300K gill maximum on the free account.
You cannot make a party but can join existing parties.
You cannot use more advanced chat options just regular chat.
And you cannot use the market-board which is player market.

But you can do 100% of all content in game up to the Storm-blood campaign.

Most of these ware done to prevent scammers or bots from making free accounts.

I personally leveled all classes to lvl 60 before i finally bought the game.
I also recommend you make a character on a Preferred server because you get XP bonus and additional 15 days of sub time once you do buy the game.
