Mog Station costumes (attires) question.
I'm a bit confused about costumes (attires) in ARR. For example i'd like to buy Snow's Attire from Mog Station and wear it on my low lvl character. In other MMO's you can usually just find some kind of slot just for a costumes, but i cannot see smthn like that here. Plus, as i can see, that Snow's Attire have stats just like all armor sets.

So it's not just a cosmetic stuff which i can wear as long as i want to cover my current armor like in other games? And i need to change it anyway as i lvl up because of stats? I know about Glamour but its for lv 50 and i'm interested how it works if i just like to wear costume on low lvl character before i hit 50 and unlock Glamour.

And another question : can i dye those attires from Mog Store?

Sorry for my english and thanks alot for any helpful answer :)

1. There are no costume slots in this game, instead you can change the appearance of items to look like other items. That's glamour. You unlock this after you hit Level 50. You likely will not be wearing costume items while first leveling, because the stats for them stop being useful after level 15 at most. Later on you unlock glamour and make your higher level gear look like those items.

2. Yes, you can dye the gear.

You can actually dye a whole lot of it.

Lightning and Snow, Wedding Attire and all of the character costumes can be dyed. O.O

Thanks again for answers, guys. It was really helpful :) Sad that you cannot change/hide your ugly-looking low lvl gear with costumes until 50 tho. Costume slot system like in other MMOs would be really nice.

Going through the ugly leveling gear the first time you level to 50 is something everyone has to go through. :D Imagine what it was like before the glamour system came to be at all — everybody were wearing the same currently best gear, or then they had a separate city/afking gear set just for looking pretty while not fighting.

But yeah, the system could be better.

If you're buying the XIII items from the Mogstation, note that Snow stuff is only equippable by male characters, and Lightning gear by female.

You mean XIII character costumes, I don't see anything else there that can by dyed (yukata, bikini, haloween for example)

No, I mean XIV character costumes, which can be dyed, as well as XIII. Wedding attire can also be dyed. You're literally just trying to say holiday event costumes can't be dyed, and that's not even entirely true, quite a few pieces can be from those as well.
