NPC Favour (aka Romance) System

So i got bored and was messing around on internet goggling on FF XIV and i found this,this was a great idea and was hyped until i saw the date that was published.

This would have made the game 100x better in role playing in PVE instead of us marry each other as boys x boys (i'm sure that there are legit couples in the game) just like in Star Wars MMO where you can romance your partner NPC and yeah.

Does anyone know that is just a hoax or is it actually legit? lol

I know,but it does seems too good to be an april fools joke,i mean look at those screenshots,they look like they were actually going to release it for real as they already look done with the facial and animation and it seems like the dialogue system also look ready too,so...i somewhat had a doubt even i though very convinced that it was an april fools joke.

Er...where are you seeing any of that? Only one of the screens has any unique poses (And even then it was the kind of thing that was done in 5 minutes in a modeling program) and there's no dialogue shown off outside of single lines that already existed in the game. There's nothing to even remotely suggest they even started on it (Outside of conceptualization, and even that was only done as a joke) much less anything to suggest that it "already looks done."

Never mind the fact that this sort of thing would rip the story to shreds. The fact that they claim you could romance Garuda should have tipped you off that it wasn't legit.

It was a joke. The best ones are the most believable. Don't take a confirmed joke and push a rumor on it based on the idea that it was believable. XD

It was a joke from 2014. If they were as close to implementation as you said, they would have released it by now.

The devs said it was a joke and they won't be introducing a system like that so I don't think you should get your hopes up.

But that being said, the 2015 april fools joke became a reality with Lord of Verminion so who knows, but personally I would hate to see a dating sim mechanic introduced to the game. I think it's much better how it is with player characters romancing other player characters and marrying them.
