Lore Connection To FF3?

I'm playing FF3 (again) and I've heard that it has some pseudo-sequels out. Two of them are Dimensions and some content in FF14.

At what level / arc does FF14 start to tie-in to FF3?

How long would it take to rush my character through the story to get there, and how long would it take casualing it?

The only FF3 tie in in FF 14 is the Crystal Tower. In FF 14, it's a trilogy of level 50, 24-man raids. It is optional content, and unfortunately people don't run it a whole lot these days so the ques can be pretty long.

The raides are:
Labrynth of the Ancients
Syrcus Tower
World of Darkness.

There is a lot of Easters just appearing into FFXIV. and Inspiration and Crossover.

The Crystal Tower isn't really a lore connection (Xande's motives for teaming up with the Cloud of Darkness are both totally different, for starters) it's mostly just aesthetic.

The ties to Ivalice, on the other hand? One character mentions the back story of the aegyl from Revenant Wings to a very specific degree. While he doesn't name names, though, the terms he uses ("Another Star" with "star" being a term the Ascians use to refer to Hydaelan) make it clear that he is talking about Ivalice, not some Eorzean parallel like the Crystal Tower) Then there's the fact that the Ascian Lords themselves are all named after the absentee Scions of Light from XII (Basically the opposite-aligned counterparts to that game's Espers; the counterpart to Mateus is Lahabrea, for instance) with Elidibus being named for the boss of Tactics' Deep Dungeon, the same one who would sic Zodiark on you.

That is a good question. For the most part, none of them, it's in its own universe, like every other Final Fantasy game. It just makes way more references to prior games than any other (Breaking IX's record for doing so) with more interdimensional visitors than usual, and there are little hints that a much larger crossover event in coming.

FF7 fans would scream with joy if that happened. ;)

I'm almost postive that we'll get some crossover event with FF7 when the remake gets closer to completion :P Calling it now. XD

Maybe they'll do Cloud's original outfit from the game itself before Advent Children. :3

Probably as a unisex peice of gear since the Advent Children one we get from the vet rewards can be worn by both men and woman in the game. :3

Or they could give us Sephy's gear as glamour. XD
