Mouse feels sloppy
I've pretty much gotten use to the controls in this game, with one exception: The mouse. I don't really play many games in Windows so I can only compare against two games -- Rift and Tera. Compared to these two the mouse feels sloppy and sluggish. It's kind of like accelleration is on and poorly implimented, but I checked all the configurations menues, as well as rechecking Windows' mouse configuration menu (I'm on W7 by the way). I tried two different mice and they all produce the same behavior. I did increase the frame rate limit from 30FPS to 60FPS (despite doubling the FPS it doesn't seem to be taxing my GPU any more than before. Nice optimization!). Is this normal? Is there a way to fix it?

Do you have software mouse cursor enabled? The only other thing I could imagine lagging the mouse would be sub-optimal FPS, as I don't have any issues with mouse control in this game.

No. I do not have software mouse on. Also, my FPS has been, to my surprise given how lovely the game looks, a rock solid 59FPS. I had it capped to 30FPS, but I increased it thinking that may be the issue.

might want to double check your windows mouse settings also maybe driver or firmware update for your mouse.

Is your mouse connected via bluetoth or to the keyboard?

One is a Logitech M570, which is wireless. The other "mouse" is the right track pad on my Steam Controller, which I use wired when I'm on my desktop. The M570 is OLD so there shouldn't be any new firmware or drivers. I've always just used the default drivers that come with whatever OS I'm using. The Steam Controller would be a good go to scape goat if it weren't for the fact that it also is occuring with this other mouse. Also, those drivers/firmware are up-to-date. I figured it was FF14 itself since this is a lot like the default mouse behavior in Skyrim, which can be fixed by editing a configuration file.

might be interfering, try unplugging one and restarting to see if it affects it

Have you tried looking on reddit or the offical website's forums? Maybe someone else has had this problem and knows a fix for it like finding an obscure config file in the game's folders to alter.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for a solution. For whatever reason, however, I'm not having an issue now. I don't know why, but a system restart fixed it. So, I guess that means that, with great certainty, it isn't the game. Thanks for your input guys, and sorry for taking you along on my wild goose chase. I'm just starting, as you can surely tell from the quantity of threads I've started, and it's good to know that there are helpful people.
